He refused to do a pap as I've had a hysterectomy(former Dr still felt they were a good idea..as does the Dr that I see now) but would try to bill my insurance company for one. I saw him for three yearly visits. My final straw came when he proceeded to allow two people(in addition to the nurse) in the exam room to observe my pelvic exam without asking me if I was okay with it. I called him out on it and he then introduced me to them and said they were students. I have no problem with students observing..I had a student observe the birth of my daughter..but I was asked if it was okay. He seemed put out that I should question his handling of the matter. I have had an overall very positive experience with this office. I had had previous complications…read moreso my pregnancy was watched very closely. I never felt like I was asking for too many ultrasounds or that I was too nervous. I loved the ultrasound technicians (who I spent the majority of my visits with). Depending on the time of day you schedule your appointments, Dr. Lirette is not always there to see you. If you want to see him, make sure that you ask to be scheduled for a time of day when he's usually there. The staff will be able to help with that. Otherwise you will meet with the NPs who are good too. Dr. Lirette is great with faces and VERY friendly when you see him in the office. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the pregnancy, in spite of my fears, but like many doctors, when I had a question I had to be very direct about the fact that I needed to sit and talk for a couple of minutes and ask a question. The up-side of that is that appointments usually run on time (which is a BIG deal to me.) For the actual delivery, I was induced, and I saw very little of Dr. Lirette during the day up until the delivery. There was not a lot of face time before or after the birth. (I would estimate that he was in the delivery room for maybe 20 minutes from start to finish at the birth.) The nurses were great, and I felt well cared for, but if you're looking for a more personalized experience, he may not be the right doctor for you. However, I felt that I was in very capable and experienced hands and overall, would recommend this office.

Prior knowledge of the cost: puts you as a patient in an uncomfortable situation. Misleading Information: Being told if it was ok to get the treatment right before going on a Caribean vacation. I was given treatment anyway to learn afterward that Exposure to the sun's UV rays causes pigment changes to the skin that may not be treatable. It is not recommended for 2 months after treatment. I expected a higher level of professionalism and attention to patient care from a reputed medical center. My experience has left me feeling frustrated and concerned about the standards of your services.

This year I'm switching to Beverly Hospital and I suggest you do too, here is why: -Always wait at least 20-35 minutes -This practice is growing faster than they can manage, they are always changing their filing methods resulting in you getting double billed or moving offices resulting in your appointments being moved without notice, or changing their computers resulting in your medical ins info getting lost. -They are cold and down to business, this results in fairly quick exams but you never feel like they treat you like a person. -This past year my annual exam has been moved 4 times, when they called to reschedule a fifth time, I changed obgyns. -On my way to the third reschedules appointment I called to say that traffic was bad (have you seen I-95 going north at 4pm??) and that I was going to be about 5-10 minutes late. They told me dont bother coming (hello!? I just left work 2 hrs early!) because I was their last appointment of the day and the nurse would rather go home than wait around for me. I challenged them with a "are you kidding?? I wait for at least 30 minutes every time I have an appointment and this has already been reschedule by YOU (not me!) 3 times!" and I was met with a "well today we are on time and we aren't waiting for you, the office will be locked when you get here, goodbye. " Well madaam phone answerer - I will not be kept waiting anymore either! Its July and my original appointment was set for January and you just called again to tell me you need to reschedule for October...really?

However, over the recent years, especially since merging with Winchester hospital I have noticed many unprofessional and uncaring and downright wrong things. I have had problems that needed immediate care, and the front desk staff were EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNCARING WITH BAD ATTITUDES toward me. I was treated like I was just a number, and told I couldn't see the doctor. I started crying as I felt scared, and she was as cold as a cucumber with me on the phone~and said she would call back. Someone else did WITH THE SAME BAD ATTITUDE and said no one could see me. I called my PCP and got a referral to another GYN and called Dr Lemonnier's office back requesting my medical records be sent to the new provider. The same woman I dealt with on the phone earlier (the woman with the southern accent) was snippy and rude and told me that there would be a $25 charge and faxed the release form to get me out of the practice within 2 minutes! This practice has gone downhill big time..and it has become too big for the Dr to handle, and combine that with rude people forget it I will never return. The worst part is is that I referred my best friend about a year ago when she became pregnant (stupid me) and she began bleeding and went there in person after they refused to see her. She waited 40 minutes for anyone to see her while listening to the front desk staff gossip about other staff, meanwhile my friend didn't know what they were doing to help her. They told her she was okay, and then that evening she miscarried. It was so traumatizing for her. The next day they called wanting insurance information (and they knew she miscarried) and no one offered any glimpse of compassion. ALL SET.

So for anyone unfortunate enough to want to make an appointment with these people . . . they are NOT at 140 Haverhill and have not been there for years. He said there's "nothing he can do" and told me to call back the next day. Well I just asked for a little info and he could have shown me some type of sympathy for what I'm going through. I go to the office for a prescription for a rhogam shot. The lady in the office gives me a prescription but no order so I couldn't even get the shot and then they are on lunch for 1hr and 15 min. Why is a doctors office closed for that long? It makes no sense to me why they can't take turns going on lunch for a half hour like most people get. Their hours suck and I'm pissed that no one I speak to has any sympathy. Don't be in the medical field if you have no heart. Just because you see it all the time doesn't mean you don't show someone who is going through this any sympathy. Don't go to this doctors office if you want decent doctors and office hours or people who actually care. The only one who was actually great was Alexsis Walter. She should have her own practice.
