I would not recommend this school in my opinion. The teachers don't let the students tell their side of the story. They assume the worst, some Teachers think children are doing bad things and when the child try's to explain themselves they can't say anything back the Staff things they children are talking back when they really aren't. The school also goes through Spanish teachers like nothing. My child didn't have a Spanish teacher for half of the year last year. This teacher gives my child work but doesn't explain that they are supposed to do. Don't even got me started on the other specials for music they had to dance. For me when I thing about music I don't think of dancing. The children are forced to touch each other and to me that is just not ok, if a child feels uncomfortable to touch someone I don't want them to. For the dress code I under stand why they have some of the rules because it's a private school.Some of the teachers have favorites, to me that is unacceptable if you do have a favorite you should not treat the different even if the have a student you don't like. For lunches don't even got me started my daughter had a spoiled milk. My daughter once told me when she went to get silverware it smell like bleach when she told me that I has furious! This school has disappointed me left and right and I am here to talk about it. The teachers may know a lot but they act like they know everything in the universe. They never let their students have a say or tell them their side of the story which I find discriminating. It deeply upsets me. I'm not just talking about the teachers but I am talking about the all the staff members. The teachers that teach the specials can be just plain mean and it is wrong on so many levels. They all have favorites and that is not what school is about. Also some things I feel that students should not have to do. For example, music. The student are sometimes forced to dance with the opposite genders including touching. Students should not be forced to touch other students especially with germs going around. Also the lunches are a whole different story. These lunch ladies should make better food and all staff members should care about what goes into the students' bodies. Some food is just plain gross, and I am sorry to admit it. The dress code rules are out of control. For example, it says in the agenda nooks of the students that they can not wear nail polish too bright or have like two piercings in their ears. I get that the students can not wear inappropriate clothing and accessories but some rules are crazy. Also the nurses need to be a little better. They need to realize that ice packs and band aids don't fix everything in the world. The Spanish teachers revolve so many times its crazy. Have you ever heard of consistency? I'm sorry again if I am being a bit harsh, but this is the truth. There have been many upsetting experiences in the Saint Michael School community and I hope they can get in line soon. Great school with a really amazing community. Teachers are caring and dedicated to making your child's experience wholesome.

Some rules, such as the no phone and no leggings rules, feel very unnecessary. I don't like Spanish class, the teachers change over like a revolving door. No es bueno. Even when it's nice but slightly cloudy, we are locked inside and not allowed out, I feel as though we are held hostage. Yet when it's cold and snowy we are locked outside and left to freeze, and are ridiculed if we so much as glance at the snow on the ground. If you want to do band you have to lose class time and get yelled at, what the heck. THERE WAS A SPIDER IN MY SCHOOL SALAD and now I won't eat there. There is lots of hair, bones, ants, etc in the food, I believe this department needs to be updated. We need a better lunch menu, sloppy joes are getting old fast. What even is a "jafitorium", like what? We could at least get CHAIRS for assemblys, have some decency. We eat, sit, sweat, and play all in the same minuscule area, this not okay and needs to be fixed immidately or my future grandchildren will go to public school. The band schedule is just a mess, though I hear the play is coming along great. The fun run is an ambomination, kids were throwing up and running in circles, just disgusting. At least the walkathon was fun. The uniforms are a whole nother story. And there's no AC. Why do I need to sign a form to wear the clothes I want, it's beyond my tolerance. Use the 25,000 dollars from the fun run to fix the broken chairs, oh wait Fun Run took half the profits so can't do that, whoops. The bathrooms are never clean, no locks, and it's bring your own toilet paper. There's only one student allowed to the bathroom at a time. I believe that the movies we watch are for children and we watch them on a never ending loop. Again where's the decency. Since they taught me not to lie this is all my true opinion, also why should we have to pray at school every second of the day. Amen and good riddance. read more
