Zero stars. We had such hopes for this school as the inside was clean and inviting and the support…read morestaff we met with on our daughters first day were so friendly. The first grade teacher who's class our daughter was assigned to seemed to be at first meeting warm and caring and sweet. That was as we soon found out a complete fallacy. After two weeks of what seemed like a perfect fit for our child a complete and utter horrific episode occurred. The school has a uniform policy we spoke with the administrators that it was ok for our child to attend in her normal clothes until we were able to get her the appropriate uniform. After two weeks I had to speak with her teacher to inform her that we do not believe in the pledge of allegiance and our daughter is not to participate in the pledge she kept pushing on me that the school could provide a uniform for us that that was nice and we appreciate the gesture we did not need that. This was on a Friday the following Monday I dropped our daughter off at school and when I met her at the bus in the afternoon she was in some second hand school uniform that was ill fitting. When I asked what happened she became completely inconsolable. When she and I got home she went into our bedroom and told my wife that she was told to go into the bathroom and change her clothes. She was alone and crying and half naked and her teacher and two other teachers saw our six year old in a state of undress. This is outside what we were informed by the principal that is the protocol. The principal told us that the teacher is supposed to send a letter home with the child along with the uniform not to give the child a uniform and tell her to go change in a bathroom. My wife received a call from the attendance teacher (whom was the third teacher and because our daughter in her words was completely humiliated as these strangers saw her with out a shirt) and that person was a complete and total disrespectful ass. She basically told my wife we should be thankful if someone were to give her child clothes. We are so completely beyond angry. We have removed our child from the school and are now home schooling her. We are also considering legal action.

The…read moreteachers have been there for years so you know they're there for the children and not the money, the experience or just because "it's a job". They don't have turnover! Class sizes are small but the sense of community is huge. There are fundraisers (of course) and parent involvement is encouraged, but not demanded as I have seen with other nursery schools in the area. Definitely worth the money.
