Time flies and I couldn't be more thankful for the wonderful women who make this school so special. It is truly a safe space and a home away from home. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Where to begin? I've toured a lot of preschools before seeing Our School and I instantly fell in love with how cozy and intimate the environment felt. Some of the other schools felt a little too "corporate." Here, there's no app or portal. Just good old fashion face-to-face chats with teachers and Ms Janel. They genuinely foster a sense of community so it feels like you are a part of the school too. In general, the school is well structured and organized. The staff ensures a good mix of boys and girls and will move kids up classes when they are ready socially and emotionally. Our daughter started off in Ms Yolanda's class, then Ms Doretha's class, and now in Ms Tiff's class. She has so much fun! She's grown so much socially and academically. The school gives you a booklet of the work they do everyday and it's such a treat to see how much they progress over time. I have no doubt she is more than prepared for kindergarten. The school also has a saltwater pool and my daughter swam everyday in the summer as an extracurricular (additional fee). This is her third summer swimming and is swimming like a fish. In the fall and spring, the school offers dance and gymnastic and pizza Mondays year-round for an additional fee. There's tons of fun activities that Miss Tiff does to make school so engaging and exciting. But above all, they all know your child SO well that you know they are truly paying attention to each child everyday. And during the Eaton Fires, Miss Tiff opened up her heart to make school feel as normal as possible and made sure the Our School families were cared after. Pajamas days, lunch provided for all students, donation drives for affected families, she did it all. There is so much intention and humanity built into this school and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. It's going to be really hard to say goodbye.

Our daughter was in Ms. Kenia and Ms. Citlally's class, and the growth we've witnessed has been remarkable. She has learned so much while at IMA, from essential manners to grasping the basics of how to read. Key Highlights of IMA: Exceptional Teachers and Staff: Ms. Kenia and Ms. Citlally, along with the entire staff, are truly loving, warm, and caring. The environment they cultivate is exactly what we had hoped for. A special thank you to Ms. Susie and Ms. Ivy for their dedication and kindness. Enriching Afterschool Program: We were very impressed with the breadth of their afterschool offerings, which included wonderful exposure to Spanish, Mandarin, and Yoga. Outstanding Communication: One thing we truly appreciate is how great IMA is at communicating with parents. This clear and proactive communication made us feel connected and informed every step of the way. We are truly sad to be leaving IMA. It is a fantastic place for children to learn, grow, and thrive in a warm and nurturing setting. Thank you again to the wonderful teachers and staff!

It has been a wonderful place for our kids to learn and develop, and we kept them at IMA through their kindergarten/"leadership" year. We're so happy we did, and both kids entered their first grade year with confidence when they moved to their elementary school. The teachers and administrators are wonderful, and there was very little (if any) turnover while we were there, which made our experience even better. Our son's teachers were also our daughter's when she attended. We speak highly of the school to all of our parent-friends in the area and always encourage a visit when they're looking to start their child's school journey. We loved our experience and feel our kids were well prepared going into their new schools.

As class parents we heard the concerns of the remaining parents in our class and voiced our collective concerns, only to be met with retribution from the owner. That being said, If you would like your children to go to a facility where the owner is okay with your child sleeping on a carpet that smells like a casino floor this place is for you. I was debating not writing anything but after spending time at other day cares in the area that take cleanliness and consistency seriously I had to share my experience. We spent over a year at this location with our toddler and during the one year there we experienced a HFM out break that impacted the entire class, yes the entire class was out for weeks. When one child would return even with no others present they somehow would contract the virus, we cited cleanliness concerns that were not addressed. We loved our first teacher unforunately she left after two months, from then on our experience with the leads was a merry go round of turn over during the time there. Every day we wouldn't be sure if our lead would be present, on leave or fired. Turnover is a huge issue here. Once, all of the parents spent a half hour at the gate locked out of the school when we were trying to pick up our children at the end of the day. They could not find their spare key so the children were trapped inside. And lastly after our families were all devastated by the fires, this location opened with a ventilation system that had not been professionally cleaned and carpets that smelled like smoke for weeks. They did not take their role in the recovery process seriously. If leadership, consistency, cleanliness and communication are important to you I would say DDP ranks low on the list of options in pasadena. There are better options down the street.

There are a lot of great enrichment activities available for a fee (karate, yoga, dance, soccer, theatre to name a few) on campus. They have state of the art facilities and great teacher to student ratios. They also have a woman who comes in periodically to teach social emotional learning classes (SEL) and supports students one on one if needed for an extra fee. We were extremely satisfied with our experience here, the only negative for us in the earlier years was the high teacher turnover- which seems to be a problem in a lot of preschool environments. All in all though, Discovery Days fostered a very welcoming and positive environment. Our son is absolutely ready for kindergarten socially and academically.

I was hesitant--especially because of the cost--but decided to attend a community open house to learn more. That's where I first met Miss Emmy. Her warmth and genuine kindness immediately stood out. After talking it over, my husband and I visited HRNS. Initially we were hesitant about the co‑op commitments, but we instantly fell in love with the bright, welcoming campus. We had toured another school, but nothing compared to the warmth, openness, and sense of community we felt at HRNS. Meeting the teachers and seeing how the children were supported made it clear our daughter would be in good hands. Miss Emmy explained parent expectations honestly and clearly, and everything felt manageable within such a supportive environment. Even though we have someone who could watch our daughter at no cost, we choose HRNS every day because of the community we've found. The teachers and parents have embraced our daughter with patience, care, and encouragement. Watching her continuously grow into her own person has been a joy, and she genuinely looks forward to going to school and moving to the "next door" each year. We will be sad when her time at HRNS comes to an end, but incredibly grateful for the foundation the school has given her--and us. If you are considering HRNS, know that you've found a true gem in Pasadena, ready to welcome you and your child with open arms.

A highlight is the option for nutritious hot food made in-house, which makes life so much easier not having to pack food every day and still knowing your child is eating a variety of healthy foods. The curated activities like Mandarin / Spanish class, regular art time, balance and coordination, kitchen creation, and music are all wonderful. Then I met Ms. Cassandra, and everything changed. From the moment she gave me a tour, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive. I instantly felt at ease, and I knew right away that this was the school for us. The teachers here are amazing. The first ones I met, Ms. Samar, Ms. Emani, and Ms. Cassie, each took the time to help my son adjust, and I saw a difference almost immediately. His behavior has improved so much since starting here, and I know it's because every teacher truly cares. I also have to mention Ms. Jane and Ms. Lassandra, they are all so wonderful. You can tell they all love what they do, and the kids feel it. Another huge plus: they offer after-school programs like Soccer Shots and piano lessons, which my son absolutely loves. I honestly can't express how much I love this school and everyone who works there. They gave my son stability during a difficult transition and gave me peace of mind. The super nurturing energy from her teacher, Ms. Samar, is so obvious and reflects in how my kiddo has become so excited to see her friends at school... she even used to carry her security cat (a literal Halloween black cat) during the day and now, she says goodbye to it at home! Leadership at the school is excellent - Ms. Cassandra is truly hands-on and adds to the positive energy for students and parents! There are holiday events for parents year round and kiddos work on art projects daily. The staff is super attentive - you can easily communicate via the Brightwheel app, which shares daily photos, videos, and messages with staff. Any school is scary for parents when it's the first time and your kiddo is very young, but Enchanted Castle has truly put my mind and concerns at ease. (For reference, we do M-F part-time which is 9AM - 12PM. Our kiddo doesn't nap at school but they have little cots for those who do).
