I'm a total fan of Sainsbury's, particularly this branch in Rice Lane but not so much a fan of their smaller local or express stores (which tend to be more expensive).
Anyhow, Sainsbury's wherever you go sells the same quality products at affordable prices yet chains such as Asda and Tesco tend to be cheaper. If you're opting for quality though, then I would definitely go for Sainsbury's and occasionally Tesco's.
In Rice Lane, Walton, Sainsbury's always has reduced items to clear everyday at about 4pm-5pm where you can buy discounted products that are usually about to expire past their sell by date. These items are very cheap and you could be saving pounds. There are two shelves, one is in a fridge to your left hand side as you enter and the other by the cakes/bread area so I would keep an eye out for those.
Another reason I like Sainsubury's, is because of their loyalty card where you can gain 2 points for every pound you spend and when you've collected 500 points, you get £2.50 off anything you choose in Sainsbury's. Tesco's has a slightly different way of rewarding their customers but the benefits are perhaps a little less.
Sainsbury's for me remains my number one supermarket. read more
