I visited here to pick up some essentials such as milk to pick up some essentials on my way back to the Doubletree by Hilton York, where I was spending the evening. The store is pretty much your average Sainsbury's convenience store, the selection is okay but not excellent and it is open until 11 pm every day which is ideal for the location. The store basically has most things you'd want in a convenience store, despite certain issues such as the staff not seeming too friendly which was a shame and the issue with the condition of some milk, for example, the first one I picked up appeared to have some sort of leak, so that was frustrating. Satisfactory, average convenience store so I feel this Sainsbury's Local branch in a good location in York centre deserves a slightly generous three-star rating.

All the things for sale are arranged in the most fascinating post-modern style. Everything is stacked up in a linear manner which combines with a defined horizontal separation. I was overwhelmed finally to be offered a bright orange receptacle for my purchases. A must see if you're in York.
