There's usually a lovely smell of baking bread throughout the day and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Although the store is relatively small it stocks all the essentials needed for living at very cheap prices. The newly initiated 'Sainsbury's basics' line is ideal for penny pinching students such as myself. The staff are always friendly and although it can get quite busy at peak times (such as the evening) they always have a smile. All in all an excellent supermarket in an ideal location.

There are only three tills and usually only one or two of them are open but the trade is constant. This iceland sells a range of frozen products, some bread, dry foods, biscuits and dairy products too. There are a wide range of savoury and sweet dishes all of which are well marked out in the freezers. The staff are competent and are always busy. They can help if you need to reach a product or if you need to find something. There is usually someone available on the floor who is busy replacing stock, who will provide help.

This branch is also very good for reduced produce at the end of the day! I am a big fan of their own brand food and also find they have a very good range of vegetarian produce. Their organic food range is also the best I have found among the supermarkets, although it can be mroe expensive than others.

The george here is good and often has sales to make the clothes even cheaper that usual, they have a full range of their electrical stuff as well as dvds, books and cds. I woudlnt be getting the fresh fruit and veg from here as they tend not to have a long shelf life The meal deals here are good as they have a large range of chinese and vegetarian food. They do have a space in the chiller where the sale items where the date is almost up and they usually have some really good offers here

Numerous award winning butchers that offer prime cuts of meat, fantastic mince and healthy plump chickens and eggs! Wonderful bakery that makes the best breads and pastry I have tried. Wonderful vegetables and fruit stands where you get can a serious deal on great vegetables. Cheapest and most authentic pick and mix selection I have ever seen Fish monger, show repair, tea shop, cafes, clothing and boot sale, cd shops, home repair, clothing alterations ... Even a room with a scale in it! Grainger Market is magical. A must see, I consider the market a tourist attraction because of how traditional it is. The people in the booths all seem very authentic and very helpful.

Morrison's in the Killingworth Centre is a good-sized Supermarket offering every day groceries plus…read moremagazines, books, clothes and some Electronics and entertainment items. There is a good Deli here too, with a wide variety of take away meals, cheeses, meats and an in-house bakery offering freshly baked bread and delicious cakes. Morrison's also has a great selection of "free from" foods with gluten, dairy and wheat free products. The staff are friendly, there is a good in-house Café to eat at, and the store supports the local community well through a notice board and fund raising projects. The only thing stopping me giving this Morrison's 5 stars is the fact that I've regularly found it lacking in stock. Every day items often seem to be out of stock and not replenished quickly. That apart, it's my local Supermarket of choice and rarely disappoints.
