Once you've walked your feet off following the square layout of the place, there's a Starbucks to indulge in, but as Starbucks' go, this one isn't that brilliant, Thornton's Cafe, Subway, BB's and some others to recoup and gather energy back to the core. But if that doesn't just do it for you, wander over to Xscape as there are plenty of food facilities over there. Massive car park, so if you've climed into your motor vehicle, there's no worry about finding a place to park, and it's free too, nice little bonus. Open until 8 on weekdays, it's been a life saver on occasions where work doesn't permit leaving until 6pm, and everywhere's shut.

It only has 27 stores according to its' website including TK Maxx, Waterstones, Schuh and Costa, but I'd even say 27 is a stretch now. Over the years, Orchard Square has declined so much that even when you're in Orchard Square, it would be quite easy to not even know you're in a shopping centre or street for that matter at all, no staff were around the square to offer assistance either. A place one would pass through, often reluctantly while in Orchard Square to visit a small selection of stores, not even worth being known as a shopping centre anymore for any logical reasoning. 1*

As you can tell by its name, Golden Square is basically a large, indoor "Square" of shops, with 135 shops in total according to their website, all over one floor. I dislike the approach of it all being over one floor, being used to seeing shopping centers on multiple floors, which also allows room for more shops, but Warrington's Golden Square also has a few stores in an outside square to it, which is also quite nice including Rhode Island Coffee and a Post Office, which is a nice area. The Shopping Center as I said is quite nice, both inside and out with a good range of shops, including WHSmtih, EE, Starbucks CEX, JD, 3, Waterstones and Vision Express, just to name a few. Due to the shape of the mall, it is quite easy to navigate around. This mall is quite nice for a small town and although it isn't somewhere I'd recommenced you constantly go out of your way to go here, it is well worth a look in if you are in the area as it is a nice shopping center, with a good range of shops and is great for a small town like Warrington, hence a solid 3 star rating.

I went recently a few days before Christmas and it wasn't too busy - nothing like shopping centres like Arndale Centre or Trafford Centre (actually never normally go to Trafford Centre but especially near Christmas but I think I can safely say its crazy busy!) Didn't stay too long but went to Boots and also went to Debenhams for some food - which was actually pretty good. There is multi storey car parking but unfortunately it is not free. For under an hour, its £1. It goes up to £5.50 if you are more than 4 hours. Between 2-4 hours is £2.20 which is not too bad I guess.

The mall its-self is a decent size, it mainly seems to be all over one floor, but from the standard street level where Morrisons and the Markets are, you do need to go up a lift or escalator to get in and walking in that way wasn't really nice, it just felt bare walking through that coridoor which was cold, it wasn't very nice until you entered the main bit which was better. In a way, it felt cramped together how they had the shops and in some parts much of them were quite small including Argos, however their was a much more modern part with slightly nicer, newer and bigger stores such as Muffin Break, Next and Ryman. They didn't seem to be a large amount of staff or information points around to get assistance, so it was a bit of a free for all in a way, perhaps adding maps would have been easier to help find certain shops, I did struggle to find the Post Office at first mainly because it was situated right at the front enterance, hidden away in the newsagents away from everything else to the point where I wouldn't even count it as part of Blackburn's The Mall. The Mall actually comes from a chain of 6 branches around the UK, mainly in the South of England with other locations such as Luton. They did have an information counter which I went onto find, which is quite cool in the fact it is also a Collect Plus point, which is a key provider in returns from a large amount of companies, which includes Amazon in addition to the Post Office, which has a location here and Amazon Lockers, which are based in Morrisons just across the way. I didnt use parking here so can't comment on that, i would instead recommend parking across the way and not in either Morrisons or the main parking which is free for Blue Badge holders. Overall, this is a nice mall with some nice shops and well-known chains surrounding it, combining some of the biggest companies in WHSmith and Mcdonald's, and the smallest such as Rhode Island Coffee and Muffin Break so it has done enough to at least earn a slightly generous three star rating.

It is the largest shopping centre in the Yorkshire and the Humber region and the 12th largest in the UK overall by retail space, at time of writing (October 2021) - if the planned improvement works happen the centre could be expanded to become the fourth largest in the country. The mall is easily accessed by all modes of public transportation: There is a public transport interchange for trains (as far as Manchester and Cleethorpes), there are also Sheffield Supertram and bus services, serving the centre, not forgetting the 12,000 parking spaces up for grabs. There are multiple places to eat inside the centre's Oasis Dining Quarter including branches such as Friday's, KFC, McDonald's, Nando's, Pizza Express, Subway, Tapas Revolution and Wagamama. If you're looking for coffee, there are multiple branches of Starbucks, a Caffe Nero and some of the department stores here have their own Cafes. The majority of the centre feels modern, there are many large shops including Apple, Marks and Spencer, Primark and Next and even a barber and a VUE Cinema. The loss of Debenhams has hit the centre hard, which was one of the largest anchor stores of the mall. My biggest problem with this is you now have to walk all the way around the car park to get into the centre from the South Tinsley tram stop because the store is closed, that just seemed dangerous and not very well sign-posted for me. I feel they should have kept a walkway open to allow safe and confusion-free access into the centre. 4*

Arkwrights Emporium has all the old nostalgic stuff people love..great for gifts..including Gollies. Beatles stuff Marilyn Monroe, Laurel and Hardy. Audrey Hepburn, model cars and tractors, signs with a message, and branded stuff like BETTY BOOP. GUINNESS. JACK DANIELS. JOHN DEERE etc. These little shops are, for me, the best part of Meadowhall.

Victoria Shopping Centre is a small shopping centre, serving the town centre of Harrogate…read more It is a fairly small shopping centre but does still have a fair number of stores including Next, Sports Direct, WHSmith, HMV, New Look and Poundland, as well as hosting the town's only branch of Starbucks. The layout of the mall is easy to follow, many of the stores are in the exterior part of the mall, with TK Maxx taking up the whole of the top floor. They do close at 6 pm Monday to Saturday, and at 4:30 pm on Sundays, so do plan ahead if planning to visit in the afternoon. The building the mall is housed in is actually reasonably grand and impressive from the exterior, but in terms of the interior, it's nothing too impressive or easy on the eye in the main retail area. 3* - They have some good brands here, but the selection is small in general, it's a shame the stores that are located in the outside area of the mall don't have better protection from the elements and do close at the same time as the indoor part with no good reason.

I like to shop at about 5pm when they are discounting fresh produce very heavily. Staffing wise most staff seem pleasant enough although the security firm which Morrison's use obviously scrape the barrel to find their staff which would account for the boorish and unsocially skilled behaviour so often on display. There is a restaurant on site which serves adequate meals at an adequate price but does offer a free child meal with each adult meal Monday to Friday tea time.

From clothes and shoes to electrical goods and DVDs all cheaper than high street prices. I recommend checking the Factory Shop out for Aftershave and Perfume bargins for christmas. As they motto states Big Brands, Big Products, Big Savings i think that says it all really. The only bad points that i can think of is that its packed with products - not suitable if you have a pram or pushchair, and the lack of car parking facilities outside the shop. The best bet is to park in the windmill car park and walk up to the Factory Shop.

In terms of eating and drinking, the selection is good for fast food with Subway, Greggs, KFC and Burger King have outlets here, the latter two being drive-thrus. The only coffee shop would be Costa (inside Next), in terms of more of a restaurant, there is a Nando's in the process of being constructed (September 2021), but it isn't much else. 3* - A-OK, there is a good selection of stores here.

I find this absolutely ridiculous as there is just not enough time to use the shops in a relaxed way. I intend to boycott the retail park and protest. I think that the media needs to be informed of this situation. I can certainly understand if people leave their cars parked on the car park for hours and hours.
