This place would probably get a higher rating if I had ordered a vegetarian dish, however, I did not, and let me explain:
I was really excited to eat here in the beginning. It looked just like any of the typical Vietnamese places back in San Diego (where I'm from). Even the menu was similar. I ordered beef and noodles.
When the food came out, I didn't immediately notice anything wrong with it. But as I began to eat the meat, I started to realize that it felt... weird (for lack of better word). (Imagine eating the chicken nugget goop before it's turned into chicken nuggets.)
I realize it's probably my fault for ignoring that, and eating the food anyways. Being away from home, my only excuse is probably that I missed real Vietnamese food too much.
And boy, did I regret it about an hour later. Me and my friend were still at the mall when it hit me. I'll let you guess what "it" was. I was in and out of the upstairs bathroom about 5 times, each time taking between 20-30 minutes. And each time I thought I was done, I would just turn around at the entrance for more. The poor bathroom attendant had no idea what was going on with me, but decided to stay out of my business (lol).
Anyways, the only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1, is because it's located next to a pretty bomb Asian food market.
So in short, don't come here, and if you do, don't order a dish with meat. read more
