We made a reservation online for two at 6:30 and found a table the day before no problem. The inside is cozy and festive, probably best for parties of 6 or less with a few tables and a long couch/half booth. We ordered a couple frozen margaritas and they were HUGE!! But super tasty and refreshing. I ordered three tacos and that was more than enough. The carne asada taco was beyond. My partner ordered the chicken quesadilla and the fish taco, the quesadilla was by far the most authentic tasting quesadilla I've ever had in Gothenburg. The prices are also super reasonable and the service was fast and friendly!

I admit, I wasn't expecting to find incredible Mexican food when I came to Sweden, but this place…read morehas some of the tastiest food! I had a mushroom quesadilla + fried avocado taco and both were so delicious. The server advised us that people usually get 3-4 tacos & 1 quesadilla is the equivalent of ~2 tacos, so I was pretty satisfied after our meal. The starter platter appetizer was also so good, and their chips/salsa/bean dip/guac/tiny jalapeño popper things were all delicious + guac was so nice & limey! With everyone else I dined with's orders, we basically tried all the tacos, and all of them loved their food. A1 vegetarian options too! The service was great & accommodating, and the interior is SO nicely decorated. I couldn't stop admiring the mural on the walls, and even the toilets in the WC have artwork on/in them!? The only downside was that each taco was ~50 SEK, and coming from LA, $5.80 for a taco is kind of disappointing. But Sweden seems to be kind of expensive in general and it was delicious nonetheless, so can't really knock them for it right now. Would definitely come back!

I have a theory…read more There are people who are saying this isn't good Mexican food, but now, having been there, as a native Californian and self proclaimed Mexican food expert, I have developed this theory. Those of y'all that say this isn't good Mexican food, are people who haven't haaaaad good Mexican food. Now hear me out, I'm not saying you are bad people, I'm just saying that you should open your minds to new and different things and understand that this, my dear Swedes, is some really good Mexican food. We came at around 6pm on a Friday and got the last patio spot, thanks to my boyfriends glowing record from "charmers" university located nearby. They have a huge smoking and non smoking outside section. The waiters are super friendly as is the bartender. Now the food! Each order of tacos gets you two tacos, we got the pork, beef, and fish. Which were basically versions of tacos al pastor, beef (no change), and Baja fish tacos! They are delicious!! Down to the soft flour tortilla and actual real sour cream. We had sweet potato fries which were as delicious as they were random, and some excellent guac. And of course, those frozen and straight up margaritas were perfect on a "warm" summer day. This is our new spot y'all!

I've been wanted to visit this place for about two years now and heard a lot of good stuff about it…read morefrom friends in Gothenburg so my expectations where high. It's located in 3:e långgatan pretty close to Järntorget. It's located in the backyard of one of the old brick buildings and it's a pretty cool and relaxed vibe in the backyard. In fact the entire place has that kind of vibe I think. The interior is chill industrial I would say with warm colors and wooden benches and tables. So the food. The recommend one taco or one quesadilla and one ceviche or side order per person. We where three when I was there so we started with the guacamole tasting with all guacamoles and salsas which where amazing and several tasted as I've never tried before such as the strawberry and feta cheese. Then I tried a pork and one fish taco both tasted amazing and even if the pork taco was quite spicy. I also tried the smoked cheese and mushroom quesadilla which where excellent. Then I also tried the salmon ceviche and the sweet potato fries. The fries where perfect I would say that they where the best sweet potato fries I've ever eaten. To drink to this I had a non alcoholic beer called in the sun which where really good. To be honest this is the best Mexican restaurant I ever been to in Scandinavia. So I deeply recommend this place.

I'm a real-life Mexican that grew up in Southern California and I came here with high expectations…read moresince it's run by an ex-pat. The food is ok/decent, but I have a few issues with it. I like that they make their own tortillas; good corn tortillas are hard to source in Sweden and fresh-made have a wonderful softness and pliability that reheated ones do not. However, I feel like the grind on the corn flour could be finer; I found the texture of the tortilla to be a little chunky if that makes sense; the grains were too big in the masa. The taco options were great: carnitas, hongos, fish taco, pollo asado--almost something for everyone. I ordered the fish taco and as a girl who spent a lot of time in Baja California growing up, they're not too far off of the real thing. It was a bit dressed up, but still, the execution of the idea was great. If I have one critique about the fish taco it's that the cilantro stems were too thick and should not have been served on the taco; it would have taken an extra 30 seconds to pluck the leaves. My only gripe with the menu itself was that there was no carne asada. I'm sorry, carne asada is like, the evergreen of the taco world. Go to an Alberto's, or Tacos El Gordo or any taco shop in San Diego, everyone has carne asada. I wouldn't fault them for not being able to do Al Pastor, but come on y'all, carne asada is the best. They have "Aguas Frescas" but I don't think lemonade qualifies and I was a bit disappointed not to see jamaica (not the country, it's hibiscus flower) on the list. Also, get some Jarritos guys, I know there's a distributor in Sweden now. (Soft drinks are on the menu so if they have Jarritos, they're not advertising it enough.) I also ordered the chips & guac. The chips are a mess. They are WAY too thick and they're unpleasant to eat. Either roll out the masa thinner or don't bother. They're just bad. You could do a lot worse in Sweden. Don't get me started on Taco Fredag.

Amazing!!! Home-made…read moretortillas and VERY high quality meat, raw materials. This is the most genuine tacos joint in G-town. Never mind the cashier who refused to let me swap out a meat taco for a fish taco without even a hint of apology or explanation. Never mind the price (229 whis is pretty high for what I consider to be an adequate portion + beer). Who cares! Because the food was f-ing AMAZING! Guacamole that you can tell only has the freshest avocados and plenty of cilantro and lime. The beans ... Well they were good but not at all what I was expecting. But ... The tacos were outstanding. Soft delicious tortillas, freshly seared beef and luxurious pork, salsa verde from heaven with just the right amount of kick and fresh cilantro leaves abound. I just took a 1-hour holiday to southern california/mexico without leaving Sweden, I swear!
