Pho chay
John B.

I wondered how this place never made it onto my list during my time in residence locally. Perhaps it's because some older menus online have them offering a broad vegetarian (chay) selection, but when I got there, options were far fewer. Even their noodle bowl came with fish sauce. I figured the pho chay would be worth a try, but while it was a decent-looking spread, the vegetables were of somewhat dubious selection and quality, with a bunch of broccoli I didn't want and mushrooms and sprouts that had seen better days. The broth had flavor, but gave me a bit of a jittery feeling. They had some drink options, but not any bubble tea type of things. Nothing against the people, but I just wasn't that sold on the food. Even grading on a Fayetteville curve; this is not a place people come to for restaurants, but there are plenty of Vietnamese spots in town and I've had better experiences at several of them.

PHO

Best place I visited 5 different pho places this is best one most home cozy food I ever had the farther the base the food it better they added many things in their menu crab Rangoon and salt pepper calamari and spring rolls are always a MUST! Owner best service sweet an always tries bring the food fast as possible! Clean quite smooth!

Pho (P2. Beef Noodle Soup)

Coming from Seattle where the pho is amazing I was glad to feel at home again! Their pho is amazing i definitely recommend. We also got crab rangoons and fresh spring rolls which were also really good. The lady serving us was very kind.

Pretty good broth for the phó. I like mine with fresh basil and it only came with cilantro. The egg rolls were a bit too done and the filling was okay a lot of carrot.

We were passing through on our way south and stopped for dinner. The menu looked good online and seemed to have decent options for vegetarians. We were invited to sit wherever we wanted. The place was clean and cutely decorated. The vegetarian options were slim. We ordered waters and our food within a few minutes of sitting down. I ended up ordering the "vegetarian" vermicelli which isn't vegetarian because it has fish sauce in it. My husband ordered the tofu egg noodles. We noticed that the people who were there before us waited quite a while before they got their food. After waiting about 70 minutes, we noticed that a large group that came in after us was getting their food and then the couple behind us also got their food!! We were starving and couldn't understand why everyone but us had their food now. I know their motto is that it's not fast food but this was getting ridiculous. Once we said something about the wait our food finally came out. I'm sorry but it was NOT worth the wait! Mine was drenched in fish sauce. That's all I could taste. And my husband's was just so-so. They apologized for the wait and ended up taking 10% off our bill. Frankly, that wasn't enough. This was the worst service I've had in a restaurant in years!

I'm passing by and decided to had pho and this place came to my search bar so I decided to give a try, it's not bad, the ambience is clean with air conditioning on. the customer service pretty good with a smile :) I ordered spring rolls and fried egg rolls for my appetizer, they forgot about my egg rolls :'( but it's no big deal, and for my main meal I had P2 which is the beef noodle soup, every pho place is a little bit different taste, I'm originally from va beach/ Norfolk area, so the broth it tasted a little different but still taste good with me adding lots of sriracha sauce and extra limes inside my soups yum yum yum :D

What the Pho?!

Saigon Bistro is a a tasty Lil pho! Shop here in Fayetteville. They have plenty of parking surrounding the building. They stay open till around 9pm ( closed on Mondays). The food is delicious just wished the order came with sides of sauces and chili ( always forget to ask) We usually bring home the Special Beef Soup and The regular Beef soup. A Lil trick I do is a throw in a Lil white rice in the Pho...dam good. Prices are reasonable( no complaints ) Plus the shop has a shirt with a sweet saying on it. Till the next one homies.

Food is definitely good pho came with huge bowl, pho broth is proper one. For me ive enjoyed the bum tom thit nuong. I tried several vietnamese 2 in yadkin and their bum tom thit nuong is so-so. My kid loved the banhmi, i tries its ok Service is good, food came in 10-15 min, nothing to complain. Server owner is supper friendly Ambiance... locations is a bit old but looks clean. Lucky the. Weather is better as they didnt turn on the AC My family will be back as we enjoyed our lunch

Been driving by here for a while and finally decided to check out Saigon Bistros menu and call in my order. I decided to order their chicken with vegetables and upgraded to their fried rice for an extra $1. I got my food home and I was so excited to open the bag and try it out. Unfortunately with each bite the food fell flatter and flatter. It just lacked flavor, tasted a little watery, and lacked umph, especially the umph that you expect from really stir fried and well seasoned Chinese food. It just was not there for me. The plus was the people were nice and my food was ready quickly. But, it is not enough to bring me back, so it will be onto the hunt for the next Chinese food restaurant for me.

I have lived in two cities that have large Vietnamese communities. The food here is on par with the food in those other places I've lived.

Ask the Community - Saigon Bistro

Do they offer carry out?

Yes! But they get quite busy during lunch hours, so be sure to order plenty of time in advance. I once ordered 2 banh mi to go. 30 minutes later I arrived, and had to wait another 25 minutes for my food to be ready. It's fine if you are okay to…

Do they have gift cards? If so can I get one on line?

No they don't offer gift cards.

Grilled Ginger exceeded my expectations for both customer service and the quality of their entrees…read more The portion sizes were so humongous that I couldn't finish them on my own. I ordered from the K8. Dau Hu Xao Sa Ot - (Hot Chili Sauce Tofu) from the vegetarian section. The tofu was seasoned to perfection. It was a spicy, savory flavor profile with a meaty texture. It was so good that even my son wanted to try some of it based on how delicious it looked. I will tell you the looks underrepresented how great this meal was. Hands-down, the best Vietnamese-style meal I've had to include my traveling in Vietnam. We tried to come back on a Sunday, and it was closed. We were really looking forward to one more dinner here before returning home. The prices were terrific. The servers were very friendly and proactive. Granted, it was a very slow day of approximately eight customers total, so that probably was a factor. However, they still were down to earth, nice, and very tentative, which I appreciate a lot. We left a very good tip. Great news! I'll be back within the next couple of weeks, and who knows? I might eat here every day while I'm there for dinner. Recommendations: Hot Chili Sauce Tofu 5's

My husband once spent three weeks in Vietnam and said Grilled Ginger's food is as authentic as it gets. You have to try the fried calamari as an appetizer. The breading is light and flavorful. As for entrees, my go to is either the Bun Bo Hue and any of the Pho dishes. Their broths are always so flavorful that I never have to add any other sauces (i.e. hoison or siracha) to them. My husband always gets a seafood fried rice to go so he can eat it for another meat at home. The portions of all their dishes are generous. You will not be disappointed eating at Grilled Ginger!
