Terrible service. As soon as my brother got his teeth pulled they were rushing us out of there. I understand they don't want to be liable if anything happened to him but they just kept insisting that he was loopy even though he was fine and pestering us to get our ride and leave. We didn't have a car so we're at the mercy of Uber and family members and geez you would have thought we had a contagious virus the way they were just rushing us out the door. If you like receiving dental care in a Third World country this is the perfect place for you. I can never go in for a routine cleaning. It always has to be a special more expensive cleaning, very poor business model when it comes to actually what they're supposed to do and that's provide dentistry services. I wanted to give massive props to Dental Hygienist, Kate Gil. She is at the Sage Dental office in Tamarac. She is very friendly, talks to me as if I matter and gives me many tips and tricks for caring for my teeth. She cleans and keeps you comfortable at the same time. I really want everyone to know that she is exceptional. I also want to say that the service in that office is extremely friendly. Zero stars- Stay away. Went for a cleaning on May 6,2024 and night guard. Sage Dental had me fill out form with my dental health history, which I provided. I stated only give me Xrays that are included through my Insurance. I just received a bill for an additional $106 for paranomic Xrays which I just had 5 months ago Sage Dental never contacted my previous Dentist to forward my previous Panaromic Xray nor instructed me. This is a commom policy to follow . Sage Dental are the Dental Professionals. Insurance only cover every 60 months. Sage Dental neglected to due their due diligence and took advantage for fill their pockets. ​​ read more

What can I possibly say good about this office. I have been with Sage Dental for 10+ years or even more. This office as well as Parkland office have been the absolute worse experience a patient can have. Sage Dental Tamarac lacks in providing quality patient education, lacks in patient follow up, excels in not returning patient's call. Their hiring of incompetent people to take on a tremendous responsibility of not following up with their patients lead to serious and irreversible consequences/outcome is TOTALLY unacceptable and inexcusable. I was waiting to have a crown placed. No follow up appointment given, no update on when crown would be ready, one month went by, not one follow up call or update. Called the office, and spoke to an incompetent clerk, left message for office manager to call. No return call received. Called the following week, spoke to the same clerk, but also to let her know that the temporary crown fell if they can accommodate me. Clerk gave me an appointment for one week later. Left another message for the office manager to call me. No return call received. It's a shame that office manager knew I called and chose not to return my call especially when I called to let them know my temporary crown cracked and fell out. When confronting the office manager during office visit one week later about my two calls not being returned by her,she replied very casually "oh you'll never find me". No apology. Why would an healthcare office have someone like a office manager not be accessible to address matters accordingly. In the meantime when I was finally getting the new crown placed it no longer fit because no one at the office followed up in the care of their patient. I paid $1500. Sage Dental's priority is not the patient, But more like how they can get a hold of your money. Worse service ever. Don't go to any SAGE Dental. How can your office bring money and remain open for business if you don't care for your existing patients. Delivering quality care and making sure patients have a good experience will bring you $$$. Outcome: tooth not repaired and will be eventually lost. Thank you Sage Dental for a fine service!! 5 stars for negligence and incompetence. Today was my second appointment here to get dental work done. Although I have a few more sessions, I love coming here! Suky is fantastic. Without here I would be a ball of nerves because I hate going to the dentist but the staff and her make me feel so comfortable. They go over everything they are going to do with me and even explain in detail why its recommenced or what shows up on xrays. She has given me great recommendations and even helped me relieve awful pain I had in my gums. Keep up the fantastic work and wonderful customer service. read more

Sage Dental - Tamarac office was the best experience! I was blown away by their excellent customer service. Sometimes going to any clinic can be a drag, you can expect long waits and attitude; but definitely not here. Everyone from the moment you walk in is very pleasant and attentive, they make sure not to leave you with unanswered questions. Yolande had called me the day before to confirm my appointment and provide me with the necessary directions to the facility. The day of the appointment she greeted me with a smile and was diligent in checking me and my husband for our appointments. Every single one of the staff; Dr. Mina, Marielys, Mack, Suky, and Paola were helpful and knowledgeable, which of course puts us at ease. The place is new and clean and have the latest technology. I called and spoke to my dental insurance about what I was being charge for my daughter wisdom teeth removal. they said they cover 60% I spoke to Darlene she called and verified, then she spoke to corporate, they were going to verify my coverage as well, (surgery was Friday.) I just got notification that they already charged my Care Credit card the amount of $1,173 which it should NOT be charge because of my Insurance will be paying more that they are stating it is paying. I also called on Friday after my daughter wisdom teeth removal stating that her mouth was hurting her really bad (she was crying) (she also has a high tolerance for pain as she WALKED on a broken ankle for 2 weeks, and was doing back handsprings on a broken wrist for 4 weeks) so when i called i stated I gave her TWO extra strength Tylenol, and ended up giving the crappy pain medicine they gave her 2 hours before i should have. I was told they would speak to the Dr. and get back to me. I'd like to point out that it's Monday and I have yet to hear from anyone regarding either issue. I loved Dr. Perkins, but I am not happy with much else. I was also charged a $15 "copay" which they used the word "copay" I checked with my insurance and was told there is a $0 copay- when I questioned the office manager stated it was for "infection exam" and i was like my daughter doesn't have a infection,. she then told me it was a "OSHA" charge and to check with my insurance - my insurance company states that they have never heard of such a thing. Also, my insurance covers 100% of cleanings - they are charging me $178- I mean things aren't adding up. I do not think I will be going back. my daughter does need a filling so I *MAY* go just for that one filling. but I don't recommend coming here unless you want to be ripped off. I am not happy about any of this. As a single mom busting her ass to take care of her child, I feel taken advantage of. edit - as of 03/03/20 - received notification from my insurance that they paid $673.20 NOT the $150.00 i was told they would cover. i have called and e-mail sage dental. i would also like to point out that they charged Care Credit $1,173.40 and they submitted the claim to my insurance for $1,1220... well that is LESS then they are saying I OWE THEM! needless to say I am NOT happy. had i not been on top of this, they would have my $1,173.40 PLUS the $673.20 from my insurance. My next call is to my insurance about all of this. I have already made Care Credit aware of what is going on. I would also like to say that on the 21 when my daughter had her teeth removed i gave my paperwork (plan coverage) to staff at Sage, they sent it to corporate. who was supposed to contact me. I was never contacted. it's more than a week later with no response from them. second edit - 03/11/20 - I would like to say that as of today 19 days after my daughter procedure, even with sending in my copies of my insurance payments, and promises that I would hear back from someone NO ONE has called me back, OR e-mailed me back. I also work with a woman who uses Sage, I warned her about what seems to be a scam going on there - she looked at what she is paying and what the insurance is paying and they marked her down as the Insurance won't be paying ANYTHING she is filing her own complaint. BEWARE everyone. I would like to add (if you made it this far) that the Dentist is AMAZING- unfortunately Sage dental it self sucks. 03/21/20 - I would like to point out that it is a MONTH later and no one has reached out to me, but I did get a BILL IN THE MAIL FOR $42 MORE DOLLARS... I am writing this as my senior citizen parents had been patients here quite recently. The office does not check insurance benefits and did not explain what charges would be for certain procedures. My parent's account was charged for over $700 for a procedure that did not even occur. They also charged my mother for full cost of dentures when we were later told by Humana that the cost of dentures is fully covered by her plan. They take advantage of their elderly customers and should be reported to the Better business bureau for poor and unethical business practices. I will make sure to let everyone know that they should not come to this office for any dental needs, and go to a reputable office who puts their customers first. read more

This office deserves zero stars. I went in for an initial consultation that took over 2 hrs. They said I needed an occlusal adjustment. I would have to pay $46.50. I paid that amount. I never went back. Today I get a bill for $139.50 as they submitted via my insurance. It's not covered. Now, Im supposed to pay $186 for 2 teeth to be filed. That's absolutely ridiculous. I went for two fillings to be replaced. They checked my benefits and told me what was covered by the Insurance and what was my copay. I am 72 yrs old and in all my dentist trips I have never had a feeling of not wanting to go. No pain. No needle. No loud drill. Just nice people explaining exactly what the procedure was and making sure I was comfortable. The dentist appointments have really changed. I am going back to get my 14 yr partial replaced and am looking forward to going to the dentist. My dentist was the nicest person and not scary like some I have gone too. Stay away if the Office Manager Solange P is on staff. EXTREMELY Poor customer service, does not know how to talk to people. I was in the chair with anesthesia when she came into the exam room and told me I had to have my complete work done or they would charge me an additional $300.00. I had already discussed with the doctor other options when she barge in! Going to the Dentist is not pleasant experience to begin with, but add someone who is unkind and only looking for the money and certainly does not care about a patient, gives this company a bad name. read more

I would give this company a -5 because my dtr. went to the Sage Dental in Coral Springs and we are still dealing with correcting the mistakes that were made in her dental care. They sold us crowns that were of "superior quality" which of course cost more but they broke within a year and root canel that has to be done again~~they do not stand behind their substandard product or service. She has a few crowns that were put in prior to the ones from Sage that are still in place and healthy. The staff is friendly until there is a complaint then they are rude and disrespectful and have lots of "hidden" charges and it is NEVER their fault when something goes wrong no it is the patient's!! Stay away! Office will not do routine procedures for your insured copay amounts. My copay for a crown ( code 2740) is $195. Sage Dental wants $550 , office managers say they make no money @ $195. I was told "pay our quote or go find another dentist" . This is illegal. All 4 times I was there I was asked to pay $25 copay for office visit while my copay is $5. read more

Horrible. Every time I visit I am overcharged for my copay. Sage knows what the copay should be. Also, you cannot get a simple cleaning without being upsold on deep cleaning and irrigation. Today I was told I needed a crown which my insurance requires a $195 copay. Sage quoted my copay as $900. Now Sage dropped the copay to $500, not the $195. Sage told me to pay the $500 or get another dentist. I filed a complaint with the insurance company and will find another dentist. read more
