I will say I assume technology has vastly improved. I did not feel any of the Novocaine shots (4 or 5). After the area became numb he began. Now it's been hrs since the Novocaine has worn off, no tingling like it used to be, and amazingly I am not in any pain. So I don't know if it's technology or just a fabulous dentist. Either way ... this is now my place to go and I'll definitely do the 6 month check ups. I'm soooooo pleased. Than you staff and Dr Hussey

They kept checking to make sure I was feeling ok and wasn't feeling any pain, kept reassuring me that all was going well. I went to the practice to have some composites re-done. The front desk staff were able to fit me in on short notice and worked with my scheduling constraints. They responded immediately to all of my calls/texts; outstanding communication and professionalism! During my consultation, Dr. Nguyen was patient, spending time answering all of my questions and genuinely listening to and addressing my concerns. I did not feel rushed and I appreciated his attention to detail when creating a plan for my care. He not only spoke about my dental goals but also created a sound plan to manage my anxiety surrounding the procedure. During my procedure, Dr. Nguyen and the staff made sure that I was comfortable. They gave me a fuzzy blanket to keep me warm while they worked on my teeth and a warm lavender towel when they were finished. I have a very low pain tolerance, but Dr. Nguyen made sure that I was comfortable the entire time. I am so happy with my composites. Dr. Nguyen pays very close attention to detail; he created an individualized, natural-looking color and perfected the shape of each tooth. The practice has a lab on sight which allows the doctors to craft custom colors/shades for my composites, to create the perfect match. I feel confident in my smile. Dr. Nguyen followed up with me later that day to make sure I was feeling ok and followed up the next day to make sure I was happy with the results. Overall, if you are looking for a kind, professional, talented, dentist with excellent bedside manner and artistic finesse, this is the place to go!

I very much appreciate the extra care and concern for this nervous dental patient. I've had routine cleanings, a few crown replacements and a tricky implant (Thank you Dr. Nguyen) done here. One time there was an unforeseen delay at one of my appointments. I was advised of this while I was in the waiting room. And to top off that already courteous gesture, after my appointment I received a card and gift (see photo). I was delighted to have the value of my time recognized. I had a very difficult upper molar removed here that another dentist prior in Charleston declined to do. He wanted me to see an oral surgeon and I thought I would try Jax Emergency after my husband recommended them to me. Dr. Arrow was patient, took his time and rocked that tooth out in it's entirely with no breaks. Took his time and used rocking persistence- something most dentists do not posses anymore with the rush to high priced cosmetic dentistry procedures. I worked for years chair-side in dental offices in my younger years I can really appreciate application of great basic practices as well as talking a patient through the procedure calmly. I also appreciate in this day and age of greed in the medical industry to not have the price be the motivator to the doctor and practice. I like that the actions were whatever was best for me and my situation. I only wish they did root canals on molars so I wouldn't have to go on a search, but I've been referred to 3 endodontists for consideration for the next procedure. Front desk was very helpful and I was seated shortly after arrival. The assistant was efficient and friendly, updating x-rays after looking at those previously taken at another office earlier this year. Smart move. You don't want a dentist working off of old x-rays. Not ever! Another note I'll go in bed at names was I recognized her from being here a couple years ago which says a lot about the doctor. Many assistance turn through cause of doctors that are too difficult to stay with. Yes, some dentists can be rude to their assistant too! My disappointment at the cosmetic over health $$$$ direction dental care has taken can be noted! Implants implants implants are not for everyone nor can everyone afford seniors who want to preserve their teeth and have good health rather than focus on only appearance get any cost. So much pressure to spend thousands and thousands of dollars - patients shamed into signing financial agreements unrealistic for many situations. I was so upset over the pressure for the plants. I waited too darn long to get a second opinion. I still need 2 root canals, but I'm glad I came here and talked to Dr. arrow about my options that suited my own needs and budget. I'm so glad I did.
