Whenever I travel from Leipzig by train this is my last stop on my way to the platform. I have…read moreeaten here approximately five to six times, most recently today. I was lured in by the offer of a free taster of Mango Lassi, which is quite nice. The seating has changed and is now down to normal seating level on the left side, which I prefer to the bar chairs.
Food is offered in a broad variety. I have never eaten Indian food in India, but I've had quite a few takeaways in England that i considered rather authentic. From that point of view, yes, this is toned down. By no means will you be hit by a chili that will haunt you for the next hours and possibly days. That being said, it is decent food, and it comes at decent prices as well. There is vegan, vegetarian and two kinds of meat - mater paneer, saag chicken, some sort of lamb - so there is variety to be had. If you want first class Indian food, this is not the place to go. If you want to escape the prepackaged sandwiches and the sausages that seem ubiquitous in Leipzig Hauptbahnhof: this place is a welcome change from that. Staff is friendly and helpful, the premises are clean, in short: I will be back.
