Rude service. My husband just stood at the deli counter for 8 minutes while the lady behind the counter wouldn't look at him or acknowledge him. Finally, after he had cleared his throat a few times and didn't walk away, she made eye contact and said, "Sorry, we're closed." My husband pointed out that it wasn't even 4 o'clock. She said, "We don't have any closers." I understand being short-staffed, so I'm not as upset about that as I am about the fact that she allowed him to just stand there and tried to ignore him. This is obscene. We placed an online order, it was totally screwed up. We didn't get our free turkey, after spending the required dollar amount. We had to substitute items for what they didn't have and they added the most expensive substitutes, driving the price of our bill up by $70, which they charged to our credit card. (we get cash back). We called 4 times, and were hung up on, treated rudely, put on hold for a half hour, given another number to call which put us into an automation loop, until after 2 hours of working on it we FINALLY got a manager to help. I'm so discouraged in this store. I go to Safeway instead of Walmart because they're Union and it's a slap in the face to get treated like this. Do better. read more

This location is good and people are nice. Safeway Signature products are excellent quality. Just be sure and use their App for discounts in order to be near Walmart prices. Also, challenge prices when App fails to recognize a discount bar code! Overall, pretty good place. Excellent, Fresh Produce area. read more

Keiana (night "manager" I'm assuming) is awful and unprofessional. Jacob left 16 items out of my pick up order and all I was told by keiana was I can either come pick them up tonight or not. What's not to like about Safeway? I came by here to grab some bread, and I was happy to see they have a shelf of quick-sale ones! I grabbed two loaves of bread as well as a cheese bread, all still very tasty. Eggs were also on super sale so I got two dozens of those. Self checkout is also awesome! read more

This location allows bums to steal and does nothing about it. As if that's not bad enough, they come off as condescending when you say anything to them about it, basically siding with bums over paying customers. When they are allowed to steal, it drives prices up, which then screws over the paying customers. I am sick and tired of people and businesses that act like these people are the victims and any people who work for a living and pay their way are bad guys somehow. every time a business allows bums to steal, it is a slap in the face towards the people who work for a living and pay for their groceries. We've been going to this Safeway for about 15 years now and I have to say. The quality has gone down drastically. Sometimes I feel like they want to close the store. It's old. It smells, and the produce is rarely as fresh as it used to be. (pre-Covid to) Truly disappointing as if we want good product we have to drive to King Sooper even tough it's not as convenient as Safeway which is about 8 minute drive!! We do so much of our grocery shopping at Super Walmarts that, whenever we go into a full-service story, I'm a bit blown away by the service. This store in particular has really friendly folks that are very helpful. On our visit today, the produce department was well-stocked with fresh vegetables and the meat counter looked great. I was also impressed by the seafood selection. The whole store is clean and nice and our checkout was quick and easy. It's a few bucks more than shopping at Walmart but the experience is sooo much better. read more

Many many employees not wearing masks, mostly those who are young and healthy enough to not have to worry about themselves. Come on people, look out for our community. Many of your customers take the time and minor effort to put on a mask, you can too. I truly do appreciate all those going to work and putting themselves at risk to keep us fed. Truly. That's why you've absolutely earned those 3 stars I did give you. Putting on masks is easy, though, and that direction needs to come from the top down. On our way to Woodland Park we stopped by for a quick Starbucks and we both used the bathrooms. My wife and I had the same experience and in a word, disgusting. Whether is it a coffee shop, a restaurant or a grocery store your bathroom is a reflection on the totality of management and your operational standards. Even though this review is just for the experience in the parking lot and in using the bathrooms it does reflect on the management. You have to pass the homeless/druggie people to even get into the store. A couple of them were in the bathroom so I'm sure that contributes to the mess. Regardless this whole thing takes leadership, management and attention and could easily be remedied if the leadership actually cared. Gross fail. Not coming back, ever. Furthermore, if I did live in the immediate area, I wouldn't do my grocery shopping here due to those factors. I would happily drive the extra miles to another neighborhood grocery store. I mean when will anyone in Colorado Springs realize that allowing those types of people to hang around businesses is bad for business? read more

I really like this store. It's always clean and the shelves are always stocked. It's a grocery so I'm not sure how much you can say... but clean goes a long way with me. Service is always friendly! I wish they had more organic selections, but that may be due to growing seasons. I also appreciate the "natural" isle right up front when you come in. read more

Older cashiers are rude and too busy trying to catch homeless people stealing that they forget to serve their customers. Had to ask a clerk to help someone at self checkout as he was too busy talking to the security guard. Think it's time to hire some younger harder workers! read more

This location sucks with their sushi service. Not only is there nobody to help if you have a simple roll to ask for but assistance in that area sucks. Even if you ask someone they try to pass off the question to different workers and you still don't get an answer. Their produce sucks, the security guard who is a male is extremely rude as well. read more

This store used to be alright, however it has really hit the skids since the Albertson's buy out. There is no self check out anymore which makes it very inconvenient since they have very few employees working there, The employees they do have are rude and even creepy it reminds me of the crew of the Black Pearl with the vestiges of the living dead. They are pricey which in some cases is okay because they have some better high end brands but King Soopers is overall MUCH more reasonable with comparable quality. read more

Usually good prices, and friendly staff. They don't have the best natural food brands available, but they are priced well on everything else. I actually really like to buy tomato sauce here, because it's WAY cheaper than king soopers for a decent sauce. There are sometimes not-so-friendly homeless people hanging around the parking lot and bathrooms, but that's not a reflection on the store itself. I would probably shop here more often if this location had a Safeway gas station nearby to use my fuel points at. read more

Every time I am here, without fail, I regret not driving another mile to just go to King Soopers instead. Lines are always long, and they don't have quite the selection you find elsewhere. This is the worst Safeway I have ever been to. It is dark and dirty. The seafood and bottle watered sections have a nasty smell. I am not sure if it is mold from water or rotten fish. Either way not appealing. In addition to the below par facilities, the staff are rude and disrespectful to shoppers. They express disgust when a shopper asks a questions or for help. I would recommend traveling the extra distance to King Soopers on Uintah or Centennial. read more

Watch the pricing here. I found a small bottle of Franks Red Hot Sauce in the clearance bin for half off of it's tagged price. This small bottles tagged price was listed as 5.39, so half off of that for the clearance price. The small bottles are actually 1.79 standard on the shelf. Most certainly a honest mistake since the large bottles are priced at 5.39 each. read more

Went in to purchase a Western Union right before there customer service desk closes at 7. Even called to see what time it was open till as we were in the parking lot. The women on the other end of the phone said let me ask my manager if I can do that as she was off in 5 minutes. As we were walking in the door she said her manager Edgar told her she could not stay late. Poor customer service!!!! Will never shop here again but don't much care, store is dirty and employee are rude not to mention if you are open till 7 then you should help the customer up until that time.
