The tech arrived on time (actually texted me that he was running early and wanted to make sure that was ok). He was fast, friendly and efficient. Called the cops on me after breaking my door handle. Called me to tell me they broke the door handle, I told them to figure it out. They called and told me there was nothing they could do and handed me my keys back, no way to get into my vehicle and left me to figure it out. I told them it was I was going to call the police. They ended up calling them. This store is trash. The company is trash. BOYCOTT THEM Same vehicle, they shattered the windsheild previously. No idea why I gave them a second chance. I walked in for a repair, the first thing they told me is that they could break my windshield further than what it was and said if they did, a new windshield would be needed and it would be around $700. I agreed to that and proceeded with the repair. When the repair guy started working on the windshield, the used an icepick to "clean" out the chipped glass, this dude put so much pressure that I could physically see my windshield flexing. Then he taped what seemed to be a jackhammer onto my windshield. Ultimately broke my windshield. The new windshield is not $700, it is $2,900 -- If I would have known that, I would not have proceeded with the service. I have spoken to other glass repair shops and explained what happened. There should be nowhere near the amount of force they used applied with the icepick and they should have never taped the machine to my windshield. The machine is meant to be held by hand. All of the other repair shops have given me quotes that are $1,000 less to replace the glass. Still $1,900 to replace though! I feel that there should be some repercussions due to mishandling the equipment. read more

I called to get INFO ONLY about cost and about possibly using insurance. Told them never mind, wasn't going to do anything as they were too expensive and my insurance wasn't going to pay anyway as my deductible hadn't been met. They filed a claim with my insurance anyway and had to spend extra time and take extra steps to have it removed. Wouldn't have even known the claim was there if I hadn't been reviewing my policy as it was up for renewal. Total BS read more

Terrible customer service...I had to call multiple times before anyone would take my call...then my glass wasn't in stock...no problem...I understand that but they told me they'd call me back to let me know when it would be in and then again to schedule a time to bring in my vehicle. Never received a call until over 3 weeks later to say, oh, by the way....your glass arrived. I provided all of the information about my vehicle prior to making the appointment. I even sent pictures of my windshield in to receive the most accurate quote. I made an appointment and drove an hour from Lake Charles, LA just to get there and be denied for service because they "can't fix a crack that isn't straight". And was told they wouldn't have been able to service my veg Ike due to the front collision sensor needing to be recalibrated. I wish they would've saved me the trip and the gas and just actually utilized the information provided by customers. read more

Not only were they able to do the repair before my scheduled time, they did it for less than the original estimate by applying an insurance discount I knew nothing about! Came out to repair out side window on our almost new Chevy car. Somehow activated the security protection and turned our car into a useless paper weight on New Years Eve. Which was also our wedding day. The lady who worked for them (Robyne) promised us a rental car to use for our honeymoon, but would not answer our calls when we tried calling her back. My apptointment time was 1:00pm, due to my work schedule, I had to drop my vehicle off at 12:00pm. I also could not return until shortly after 5:00pm, unfortanately, that's what time they close! But the receptionist agreed to wait for me. By the time I picked up lunch and returned to work, they called and said my windshield was fixed! Before my schedule appointment even! When I arrived to pickup my vehicle, my windshield was repaired and the waiting receptionist had even vacuumed my floorboards for me! As a mother of two boys, this was a tremendous blessing! I received great service here. I had a huge crack in my windshield from a rock. I arrived early for the appointment. They took my car back as soon as they could despite my being early. The technician who worked on my car was very nice. They have a nice set up in the customer area. I was able to grade quizzes at a desk while I waited. They also had coffee!! Once they were finished, they clearly explained what I had to do for the rest of the day. They also vacuumed my car!!! Hopefully I don't have this issue again, but I will go here if I have another problem. read more

horrible experience. horrible customer service. no resolution. FIRST I was lied to by the original customer service rep. I was told the total amount would INCLUDE the defroster, window tint, and antenna. After being serviced, the technician told me they do not do window tinting. (Problem 2: Additionally, the right seal was not ordered, so the technician "recycled" the original, torn-up from replacing, seal. The end result was extremely unsightly and unacceptable.) So, my problem is that I was lied to by the customer service rep. I asked him specifically, and straight-forward "will this price include the window tinting? I have tinted windows and I will need it to match." He reassured me it would be included, and the window would be replaced just as it was. However, this was not true. So why did he lie to me? He was guaranteeing service that Safelite does not give. To me, this is a problem. A problem Safelite should be held responsible for. A Safelite employee lied and gave me false information. Who is responsible here? While in the store, before paying for the replacement, I call the customer service department to see. Well, according to Safelite - not them. They hardly acknowledged the possibility I was even told this. Restating over and over they do not give this service. The problem I had was not with them not tinting my window - it's that I was told it would be. After briefly acknowledging the possibility the customer service rep told me this, they went on to tell me "well we can't determine who you spoke with, so we can not determine what he told you. so we can not be held accountable for what he told you." Really? A company cannot be held responsible for what their employees tell their customers? Then WHO is responsible?! The customer service refused to offer any remedy to the situation, leaving me in a horrible situation. While still on the phone with customer service, I am placed on hold while a supervisor called the store telling them to pull my car into the shop, lock it up and hold onto my keys. After returning, the supervisor tells me over the phone that the only remedy would be to "take the (new) glass out of the car and take it some place else to replace it." I was baffled that this was an option. So, when a customer is unpleased, send them some place else? Wow. I cannot believe the complete disregard the company had for my satisfaction. From the beginning it seemed no person was concerned with me being a satisfied customer. Really baffling to me that a company like this could even exist. read more

We have used safelight 4 times in the last year, my husband drives interstate 10 a lot. Two rock chips & two new windshields. They came to our house as scheduled, took our insurance, we received good customer service each time. We also went to the shop for the last windshield since it needed to be repaired quick the schedule worked out better to go in. Barbara got us in quickly and had us back on the road.
