The ship is large with 2 decks and dinner was provided; salad, au gratin potatoes, vegetables, salmon , bread and prime rib were served. Desserts were an assortment of cakes (chocolate, key lime, and strawberry). Given how beautiful the evening turned out, the scenery was revealing- beautiful homes, unfortunately Some destroyed by Helene and Milton- some being restored. The current is strong in the manatee river yet they allow catamarans on the end T-heads which cause issues when trying to dock as this is way too crowded of a space. Again, another example of poor management. On a positive note, the deck hands have always been great and the facilities are nice. It's a shame the interior employees are allowed to behave the way they do as this place Marina could be much better The Don Miller Development company owns this marina and sadly are not involved enough to correct these issues.

I would not recommend this marina if you are not confident is your handling skills. The Marina itself is very nice with lots of amenities. They have multiple large, clean, bathroom/showers. They have laundry service and a business center but I did not make use of those. A nice pool that I made use of while there and a little marina store that sells ice and such. The staff were helpful and nice when I interacted with them. There are a lot of fun restaurants within a short walk of the boats.

The overall marina is very run down and in shambles, and not likely to be repaired soon since it is in the middle of a sale. Many of the dock were torn apart during a late season storm, which wasn't even close to a hurricane. They only have one gentleman who repairs the docks, and he is overwhelmed with too many repairs to make. The bathrooms are dingy and run down, and the associated restaurant closes at 9 p.m., so you can't even go and watch a game there. The food is overpriced, and happy hour is not very happy! George, the assistant dockmaster (and manager in the restaurant - watch out!), is a complete A-hole and has no business dealing with the public. When the dockmaster, Harley, is off on Mondays and Tuesdays, he harasses and threatens the tenants and acts like he's God, making all the decisions to kick out those people whom he dislikes. Harley is a likeable fellow, but leaves at 2 p.m. and isn't readily available. The guy who is really in charge of it all - supposedly - is COO Joe Rogers, who refuses to meet with the public although he's the one calling the shots above Harley. If the man makes a decision that affects me, I want the opportunity to schedule a meeting and talk to him about it! This is a huge property, and despite them having ample parking with three lots, they are extremely picky about who parks where, and hate having golf carts, scooters, and more than one car per boat. Considering that this is directly across the Cortez Bridge from Anna Maria Island - which is absolutely overrun with golf carts, scooters, slingshots, etc. (they rent them everywhere) - it's absolutely INSANE that they have a problem with this! This marina is absolutely not friendly to boaters of any type, for any length of time, and I'd definitely advise against. If I had the $10 million myself, and the estimated $3 million that needs to be put into repairs and upgrades, I'd buy it myself and turn it into the gem of the island! There are houses and a bunch of property associated with it, so if there are any prospectors out there, it's a great deal at $10 million! Come save us!

The breading was good and crunchy. The Calamari had a nice taste but was very chewy. We also shared the Coconut Shrimp. The shrimp was cooked perfectly & the coconut breading was delicious. The dip was delicious, had a nice bite to it & perfectly complemented the shrimp. For our meals I had the Crab Cake Sandwich with a side of Coleslaw. The coleslaw was mushy but had a good flavor. The Crab Cake was mostly filler. It did have a nice flavor, but I prefer more crab meat to filler ratio. DH had the Blackened Grouper Tacos. He said it was just ok. Before doing business here, we heard several negative things about this dealership from other people. However, we believe in giving people a fair chance instead of judging them based on someone else's experience. Unfortunately, giving them that chance ended up biting us. We put down a $1,000 deposit on a boat. Lots of back & forth trying to find the perfect one. Christian & Joe said they understood. We were specifically told that our deposit would hold the boat while we completed a sea trial and had an independent inspection performed before signing the final paperwork. That gave us the confidence to move forward, knowing we had the opportunity to make sure the boat was everything it was represented to be. We went to the dealership on Thursday evening fully intending to sign. We arrived around 5:30 but because they were closing at 6:00 and we had our three children with us, we were told it was fine to come back on Saturday to finish the paperwork. In fact, Christian said that would work great for him. BUT Before leaving, the sales manager, Joe, looked us in the eye and assured us the boat would not be sold and that it would be waiting for us when we returned. Instead, on Saturday morning, we received a phone call telling us they had already sold the boat to someone else. For us, this wasn't just about losing the boat, it was about integrity. We believe a person's word means something, especially after accepting a customer's deposit, telling us it would hold the boat while we completed the agreed-upon sea trial and inspection, and then personally assuring us the boat would still be there. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and personable while we were in the showroom. But once another opportunity to make a sale came along, it became clear to us that keeping their word wasn't a priority. We left feeling that the friendly service was more about closing a deal than standing behind the commitments they made. If they couldn't hold the boat, they should have been honest and told us that from the beginning instead of making promises they weren't willing to keep. So your deposit doesn't mean anything. Take it from us. Needless to say, we'll be taking our business elsewhere.
