There is also a really nice roof top restaurant bar on top of the yellow winding stairs. The roof top is filled with grass and plantations, providing shade and a little oasis away from the city. There's also a nice market filled with food vendors. A great area to hang out, enjoy good food and the views of the London eye.

Cool space for the concert, in line with the trend that you can see at the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and the Kauffman Performing Arts Center in Kansas City - "in the round" concerts where the audience wraps around the musicians. Only a couple quibbles: not a lot of seating on the outside for before the concert or during intermission, and the need for a better system of getting people out, as there was a bit of a jam (I know this is something that comes up in any large venue, but some places manage it better than others). We had Gratin of Baby Leeks, Quail Egg, Parmesan Crisp, Watercress and Mustard Dressing, Langoustine with Chili and Lemon Butter, Toasted Sourdough, and Smoked Haddock Fish Cake, Parsley Sauce to start and then for mains we ordered the Fish and Chips and Slow Roasted Pork Belly Garlic & Fennel, Slaw. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted REAL good but not as memorable as the fish and chips. The fish and chips was REALLY good. It was so fresh and the fish was really well seasoned. It was huge but not too much batter and the batter wasn't overly greasy either. I could SO eat that again! The service was brilliant both times. The staff are smiley and friendly. The setting in the restaurant is beautiful although the toilets need a little updating. Beware that the river can be a bit choppy on windy days. Worth visiting if you want a slightly special lunch!

Now, I was floored by the fact that everything at the event was free for us - but that's on Chase and Visa. The venue itself is just pure class. The downstairs bar is long and wide, the lighting is dim enough to have a good bar feeling but clean and crisp so that you know you're in a classy place. The upstairs facilities are nicely decorated and large, and I can see them being perfect for high-level executive gatherings and events. If I was a high roller I would not hesitate to use this venue for my own functions.

The massive cherubs, neon pink walls, over the top mirrors and plastic antlers are all there if you look hard enough. We didn't come here for the cherubs though, we came here for the food and embibement; that is something they did well. The whole place had a great atmosphere. We had a couple of pasta dishes, some huge grilled cheeses and a fish and chips. The food itself wasn't bad but not at 'gastropub' levels in either presentation or complexity. The satisfying fish was crisp and well cooked but a little greasy and the chips tasty, chunky but hardly crispy. The other food was tasty and offered good value. Overall this isn't a bad pub if you like some cherub spotting and a decent meal after a long walk.

We had curries and the kids made do with chips as they are quite picky eaters. My korma and pilau rice with garlic naan was so good that I ate more than I should have and almost waddled home! My friend had a kofta kebab which was also amazing! The prices are amazingly reasonably good, cost under £40 for 3 adults and 4 kids to eat! The staff could not be better, great customer service and our vegetarian/pescatarian chosen option was forgotten due to the number of times the teip had to be rescheduled. But the staff reacted very quickly and made sure that is what we had. Great, wonderful service. We shall be coming back.
