Food and drinks were fine, but the service was so horrendously abominable it tainted our whole experience. I was excited to try out this place and we came for lunch at 1:30 on a Sunday. There were a fair number of people there but not crowded. We had to wait forever for anything to come out. Our waitress seemed liked she couldn't be bothered, and we had to flag down another server to place our coffee orders at the conclusion of our meal, even though we'd told our waitress we wanted the drink menu. We had the hazelnut mocha and a double espresso after the meal, and after about ten minutes only the mocha came. The waiter dropped it off in a rush and walked off, not allowing us to question the whereabouts of the espresso, even though that's easier to make. We then had to flag down our waitress to ask for the check, then a few minutes thereafter the espresso finally came, with our waitress dumping it on the table and causing it to spill. We presented our card, only to be ignored again until I literally had to stand up at the table and signal to the waitress we were ready to pay. The two of us only had one appetizer and one entree each, ate quickly, and were still there till 3:10. I most likely would not come back given the totally oblivious and unapologetic attitude of the staff. Coming from NYC this kind of service is simply unacceptable.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Buenos Aires. The food is completely amazing. I've never tasted anything like it.

In Buenos Aries for a day. My kids are vegan. We went to Sacro. Food and presentation were amazing. Everything we ordered tasted delicious.

Massively wonderful healthy eating in Palermo…read more This is fun food - not haute cuisine. And there is healthy animal based food available for those that want it. Buenos Aires Verde is a lot better than the good-for-you cafes I have in my home city. Among the decadent pleasures they have masquerading as health food - A passionfruit chia smoothie. When you are in Latin America, if you see passionfruit (maracuya or maracuja) on the menu, Just get whatever it is that they are selling. Maracuya is wonderfully good. Maracuya makes your whole day better. Maracuya makes the sun shine when it rains And your relationships renew if you are arguing. Maracuya solves all problems - at least for half an hour. Chocolate can't even remotely compete with maracuya. The maracuya chia smoothie I had was the perfect start for the perfect day. It was also one of the few ways you can get chia into Samuel C without Samuel C giving you a speech about about what a bad idea chia is. My wife had a tofu and egg scramble. Yeah, eggs like the kind that come from chickens. Maybe a plant laid the eggs, but I don't think so. It looked like one of the best scrambled egg dishes ever. If i wasn't in total bliss about my maracuya smoothie, I would have wanted those eggs for myself absolutely. Argentines like heavy sweet pastries with their breakfast. I had a chocolate covered raspberry chocolate cake. This was a health food restaurant So this meant that chocolate covered raspberry chocolate cake was good for me. My life was extended seven years because of that raspberry cake. The coffee is fine too. (Good coffee is not an automatic in Buenos Aires. There are a lot of famous establishments with absolutely terrible coffee.) * * * After Buenos Aires Verde, my wife and I were able to go out and conquer the world. Starting your day with really good chocolate cake will do that for you.

Dessert was okay - raw chocolate cake. While we were waiting for our cake we decided to grab a bag of cashews to take to go - only my girlfriend noticed bugs in them so I kindly let the hostess know. She seemed grateful and proceeded to inspect all of the remaining bags and removed over half of the remaining cashew bags. However, when we were ready to leave she was extremely rude to us. We wanted to pay and no one was attending to us - she ran my card wrong several times and was also talking to someone else wanting to order. She was short when I handed her the same card back and I had to almost force her to run it again. It is too bad because we had fully planned on returning Saturday night but never again after our experience. Food looks good - nice veggie menu - but bugs, no thanks....

The Food: - Vegalitana: This was my favorite. Really good slice. - Verdolaga: This one is pretty good, my second favorite. - Caramelita: It was okay, not much flavor but it is a simple pie. - Rocola: Interesting mixture of flavors, I did enjoy it. Upshot: I have had many Vegan pizzas in my life and many of them sacrifice taste for the moral and environmental benefits of eating Vegan. I think that this pizza place does not make such a sacrifice, the pizza is still pretty good, and it also makes you feel good physically after you eat it (unlike the very greasy unhealthy ones). A bit much on the cost for my preference, but I would certainly try it again. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Ubicación: ubicado cerca de la intersección de Fitz Roy y Nicaragua en Palermo Hollywood. "no" - it looked more like a trendy bar, and appended the moniker "Resto-Bar" to its name in its public image. I imagined mediocre fried "street food" snacks and colorful cocktails and loud music. But, on a recent evening, adrift for something different to do solo, I made a quick reservation and headed over. Now, some of what I imagined is true. Though, very little. You enter into a bar, packed with all sorts of trendy looking bottles and apparatus. The greeting is exactly what I expected - neither of the two bartenders nor manager even looked up from the computer screen they were intently engaged with - and, other than pausing to make a drink now and again, they stayed in the same position the entire evening. A hostess greeted me not with "good evening" but, "do you have a reservation?" I got the full look up and down while the asking was going on, and then the studied minute over her clipboard when I responded affirmatively, followed by an, "oh yes, I guess you do. come this way, perhaps that table over there in the far corner." I was dressed pretty, in pressed slacks and shirt. Far prettier than most of the people in the room, who tended towards shorts and t-shirts, but I don't tend towards 25-30 years old. But thankfully, that's about where the reality of my imaginings ended. A full menu of Thai dishes was presented, along with a cocktail list (moderately creative without being stupid about it), and a wine list. While I was perusing, a plate of puffed rice crackers and a decent sweet and sour dipping sauce was placed on the table. I relaxed. Excellent chicken satay, with the chicken beautifully grilled and still juicy, accompanied by a very mild peanut satay sauce, but an accompanying chili sauce that actually packed a wallop. Nice presentation, and a generous quantity for 380 pesos (just over $6). And likewise, both presentation and quantity of the prawn kung pad met mamuang, a mild stir fry of prawns, cashews, and vegetables, that was big enough that I only made it through about half, and then asked for the rest to go (680 pesos, or just over $11). Certainly tops the list of the dedicated Thai spots in town, and comes in a not too distant second to Cantina Sunae which covers a wider swath of the region. I will definitely be back.
