I cannot say enough about Dr. Christy and the kindness she showed us. She came to our home on the hardest day of my life to help us say goodbye to our sweet girl, and she made an unbearable moment a little easier. She was incredibly compassionate, gentle, and generous with her time and care. Her bedside manner was exceptional, and the love and respect she showed our sweet baby and our family meant more than I can express. I am so grateful she was there for us and helped give our girl a peaceful goodbye. She is truly an incredible person, and I cannot recommend her enough.

My 15 year old Fur Baby

Thank you for your kindness, support, compassion and this service that you provide as an option to the whole pet family community Hunter and I will be eternally grateful

Key chain, Pawprint, and Noseprint

Dr. Christy was absolutely spectacular. She is incredibly compassionate and patient, and I will be giving her card to everyone I know. As long as I have fur babies, who never stay with us long enough, Sacred Transitions will always be my go-to. The nose print is PRICELESS!

From the first call made where I cried the entire time, to getting the paperwork and having to pick a day, they did nothing but show professionalism and care. Dr Jackie was absolutely incredible. She made my husband and myself feel as ease and was an angel. She let my husband carry him out to the car as well. I have never cried so much in my life, but lap of love made it a little easier. Bruce's ashes were ready in about 10 days and he came in a beautiful wooden box. Thank you.

Dr Samantha came to my house and was kind, tender and really compassionate about how it felt for our family to be losing one of our own. She explained the process and gave us the time we needed to say our goodbyes before she started. She treated our fur baby like he was one of her own, and handled everything with love in her heart. Two weeks after that, we received a letter from Dr Samantha that confirmed to us just how special she is and how much she cares about the people left behind in a world without their furry companion. I recommend Lap of Love to anyone who is faced with the difficult decision to have to help their buddy cross over to the Rainbow Bridge. From the moment you make the initial phone call to the end, you will be treated with respect and love through and through. Thank you Dr Samantha!

We saw Mickey ( our puppy) on a website and sent Louisa's New leash on Life a message on the chance he would still be available to meet. The next day we met Mickey, walked him around and played a little bit and we ended up both agreeing that he was a good fit for us. I was very impressed how Mike took the time in the details. Mike came over to ensure Mickey would be safe, checking our fence, but what I really liked is Mike was very up front about Mickey's personality and after 2 years, Mickey has been a great part of the family and my wife and I are very happy with our experience. The thing that sets Louisa Rescue apart from others we have worked with is that Mike keeps in contact with us and continues to offer and provide support. Mike is a great partner and is always there to help. In conclusion, if your looking for a great rescue to work with to include training and support, then I would highly recommend Mike and Louisa's New Leash on Life Rescue.

To be honest, every single person I interacted with was amazing. From the receptionist, to the vet tech, to the doctor as well. Everyone was empathetic and treated me and my dog with care. AVOID AT ALL COST! I am extremely disappointed with my…read moreexperience at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center. I brought my dog Tasha in around 8:00 AM extremely sick, vomiting, unable to eat, and barely drinking. The plan was to perform an ultrasound, but it took approximately eight hours. During that time, I repeatedly asked why things were taking so long, whether Tasha was receiving fluids and supportive care, and what exactly we were treating. The veterinarian involved was Dr. Karissa Hughes. They wanted to hospitalize Tasha, but I kept asking a very reasonable question: What is the diagnosis, what are we treating, and what is the goal of hospitalization? What bothered me even more was being made to feel that I simply had to agree with whatever Dr. Hughes wanted to do because, as I was told, "She is the vet." Of course she is the veterinarian, but that does not mean an owner should stop asking questions or blindly agree to hospitalization without understanding the treatment plan. I was trying to make informed decisions for a critically ill dog. When I questioned the delays and care, I felt my concerns were met with defensiveness. A staff member or manager ultimately told me that if I was unhappy, I could take Tasha and leave. I was not yelling or insulting anyone--I was simply trying to advocate for my dog. Before leaving, I specifically asked whether Tasha was still vomiting and was told she was not. Yet almost immediately after getting into the car, she vomited extensively everywhere. That made me seriously question how closely her condition was being monitored and how accurately her condition was being communicated to me. I was also very upset by how the interaction was documented in the medical report. In my opinion, it made it sound as though leaving was simply my decision and included negative comments about my behavior. That is not how I experienced what happened. I plan to attach the report so people can read it themselves. Sadly, Tasha has since passed away. I am not saying this hospital caused her death or that another hospital definitely could have saved her. She was very sick. But I wish those precious hours had involved clearer communication, more urgency, and a treatment plan I could actually understand. This was also my second bad experience here. About two years ago, I brought another sick dog in and waited approximately five hours without seeing a veterinarian before leaving. After these experiences, I have lost confidence in bringing one of my dogs here for a serious medical problem. If one of my other dogs develops a major or complicated condition, I would rather fly them to another state for care than return here. Pet owners should be able to ask questions and advocate for their animals without being made to feel like they are the problem.
