Completely worthless. I've been with HR Block for 3 years TRYING to be loyal to them but I have had enough. Turbo Tax is going to be my new tax preparers from now on and I hope that anyone who reads this does the same. UPDATE:After giving all my banking info to H&R Block the IRS is sending my check! After I found out from the IRS that H&R Block never filed my 2019 taxes I looked into things further. I then found that they sat on my 2018 taxes. You can get an account with the IRS to get all your transcripts to see when things are filed. (so when they tell you it is the IRS's fault you'll be able to laugh) I also found that they made major mistakes - to the tune of a couple of thousand dollars on top of the penalty and fees I have to pay. They failed to call the provided phone numbers for questions and then tried to blame me for the mistakes. Never again, and highly encourage folks to avoid them. They are not cheaper for tax prep and you'll be paying the IRS more than you should.

Yifan listened to what I had to ask and made sure he understood the situation I was in. Then after we both made sure we knew what happened and what was wrong he explained simply how to fix this issue and go from where we were to make sure everything was squared away. Yifan was a massive help and I will be sure to consult with him in the future if any more issues arise.

I get that to the extent that you want people to learn but in the meanwhile it took an hour 45 minutes for something that should've taken 45. My taxes still aren't done except for federal because I didn't want to be there another hour while we figured out how to do a non resident state form. I went there to have someone help me who was more knowledgeable than me since I was dealing with a bunch of different types 1099s and that did not happen. Turns out I knew enough and could've plowed through on my own and saved my money. I left upset not because I owed federal but because I owed H&R Block for awful service. Just to say again the lady who helped me, while unknowledgable, did a fine job. It was her coworkers who should've realized she was out of her realm and stuck around to help instead of handing books over about tax laws.
