The guys outside the restaurant really know how to hustle hard so people can come in. Included in our platters were complimentary drinks which was ok but, if you wanted to keep drinking you would have to pay for each of your drinks. -We got seated in the back because we had a large party. The restaurant does face the lake of Chapala which is very nice. Unfortunately, that is the only good thing about the restaurant. -For our complimentary drinks, we decided to get horchata. Probably one of the worst drinks I've had. It was so watered down I barely tasted the flavor. They gave us a platter of different salsas and sauces for our food and they were mediocre. Nothing was fresh and they looked like there were sitting out for a while or from previous past days or weeks. I was already not liking the restaurant and I was not expecting much from the food. -The platters came out and they looked great and they were presented nicely. Once we started to eat it was a different story. The seafood platter was mostly fried. We barely got served any seafood. The fish was fried too long and it was not as tasty as I was hoping it was going to be. It also came with a bowl of ceviche and it wasn't as great. The meat platter was okay as well. We got served chicken and beef fajitas but it was mostly bell peppers and protein here and there. Not worth it. It came with a bowl of guacamole and that was actually pretty decent which I was so surprised. They also brought us tortillas which were okay. -The waiters kept forgetting to bring us water and a second round of tortillas which we had to remind them a couple of times. I will never come back to this restaurant next time we visit Chapala. I would have rather had lunch from a vendor from the street than this restaurant.

Customer service sucked. Didn't bring out drinks right away and brought out the wrong order. Server…read morewas very unprofessional, do not recommend this restaurant.

This is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Ajijic and Chapala!…read more The duck was some of the best I've had in my life and the BLT was enormous and absolutely perfectly made. My husband enjoyed it for both lunch and dinner. I understand this restaurant is moving the end of January and I am praying that a new location opens up for them where they will get more business and can be established as they so deserve in this area of so many good restaurants, right in the top five for sure!

They are also a bakery and make AMAZING Artisanal breads and desserts. (Make sure to ask to try the bread, or ask for it in instead of the torillas)! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Pictures of this site are a pretty good representation of this restaurant/art gallery! This place is perfect for coming solo for a cup of their well known coffee or to come with a group of friends and share plates. I can't wait to bring my girlfriends here! PLUS I just discovered they have WINE and BEER!!! Ps: make sure to stop by the art store, they have art from famous artists in Mexico and around the USA.

Their menu us large with all vegan food so there are a lot of options. I started with the Buffalo Cauliflower and it was good, a fried flower with a tasty (although a bit thick) dough and some decent BBQ sauce. We couldn't make up our minds on the hot or medium sauce so the server brought some of each. (the service was great). I had the Salad Dulce which was one of the best salads I've had in Mexico. Fresh lettuce, nuts, seeds, and great ingredients and a nice dressing made it delightful. My friend had the chorizo burger and said it was difficult to tell from real meat (he's not a vegan). For a main course I had the lasagna which was made with sliced squash instead of pasta and was quite large and difficult to eat. The ingredients were excellent although of the oil adverse folks you should ask them to go light or pass on oil altogether. The portions were huge and I had no room for dessert, although they looked excellent. I had a juice and asked for a large which turned out to be almost a full quart of fresh juice. This is a one off, mom and pop place that deserves to be recognized for great vegan food.
