We got only 400g and regret not getting more already back at the hotel room. Apart from almonds with salt, honey or sugar, and Paco's home fried chips (patatas fritas), there's a lot of candy to be found in this beautiful blue corner store, only one block from the lovely market of Malaga. We were here on Valentine's Day and they had red candied apples dipped in small sugar hearts in one of their windows. I guess these items will change depending on season, and I wouldn't mind checking out their Easter or Christmas candy.

There is some kitchen gadget or even food that I must have. They have a bag dried apples for a euro. I go nuts for them. The sad thing about here is only when there is an upcoming holiday. Like a month before Christmas, they stock a bunch of Christmas stuff. Great for those that have families and homes to decorate, bad for me cause I hate all that junk. Ba humbug! But on normal days, my boyfriend and I just enjoy walking around and looking at stuff. Awesome store!

The Mijas Chocolate Factory along with having many varieties and types of Chocolate candies, they have also Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and some wonderful and different flavors of Ice Cream. They also have so educational Chocolate Tutorials to listen to if you have time. It's a quaint and nice place to visit when you are in Mijas to be able to get a nice chocolate treat.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the gelato from Nonna's. It lacked the silky, creaminess that I found with gelato in Rome. There was a grittiness to the one I tried. It was a decent treat, but just didn't measure up to Italian gelato. The shop was cute and other desserts are offered. It's in a good location across from the Pablo Picasso Courtyard and close to merchants & shops.
