We went there on Friday for the Fish Fry. I'll start by saying that the fish itself was great. It…read morewas battered and fried and came out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The disappointing part was that it took over 30 minutes for the server to even make it to our table and another 20 before we got our salads and finally water. I don't even want to imagine how long it would have taken if we had ordered more complicated drinks. One of our food orders was wrong when the server brought it to us (but I will say they fixed it fast). The overall experience was disappointing and I don't recommend going unless you have LOTS of time to kill before you eat or drink anything.

There's an overall mindset amongst seasonals to 'keep up with the Jones' with respect to yard appearance, RV's, trailers, etc. I was a seasonal for three years, and ultimately the last straw was when it was suggested to me that I don't return the next season unless I upgraded my 28 foot travel trailer to something newer, because it didn't fit the look and feel of the place (apparently something older than 7 years wasn't good enough?). Also, management is very good at one thing: watching everyone like a hawk. If you want to always feel like you're every move is being scrutinized, this is the place for you!

I seems like the city of St. Cloud has little or nothing to offer from a cultural perspective, but Helen and Jim certainly worked hard to make me feel welcome. Breakfast was plentiful though more selections would have been nice- I don't do sweets, so the crepes and pancakes option sounds about as appealing to me as chewing rock candy. So instead, they made their second option, an omelet both days with fresh fruit and the BEST homemade plain popovers. I love coffee and tea so much that I often bring my own tea bags. I used them on this trip too because Folgers was their coffee of choice. Also, I am used to a hot tub being a somewhat standard feature. Although the rooms had private baths, both had a smaller shower/tub. One room had a plug in portable fireplace that might have been nice in the winter. The room I chose had a very large and comfortable king-size bed with a walk-out garden balcony that was absolutely stunning! I don't know how they keep the flora and fauna around their property so lovely, but it must be a full time job.

For someone like me, who doesn't like being photographed, he had me smiling naturally in seconds and the photo session was quick and painless. Fifteen minutes after I stepped inside, he had a bevy of photos to choose from. I appreciated his professionalism and his thoughtfulness. I'd recommend him for business photos, graduation photos, wedding photos, and whatever other photography need you might have.
