The car would not start 2 days into our trip and we had to pay a local person $250 to come start the car. Drivalia said they would reimburse us but to drive the car as they did not have another to give us. The next morning it would not start again. Called and it took 4 hours for a repair service to come start the car and cost another $250. Drivalia could not bring a car to us so we then had to drive 2 hours to a location with another car (Jeep). This had even more dents and scratches than the first. We took a video of how bad the car was. Even the rear bumper and part of the tail light were crashed in. After losing 2 days of our 14 day trip, we were just happy to have a car that would start. However when we turned the car in, they charged me 200 euro for a scratch that was "not noted in the online paperwork" even though we showed in the video that the scratch (along with 30-40 others) was already there and we had purchased full coverage insurance. The local place said they could not do the insurance and they could not reimburse me for having the mechanics come out twice and told me that I had to call Customer service. When I emailed customer service, they told me that they could not help and I have to go back to the local office. It's circular and nothing was resolved. Now I lost 2 days of my trip, 200 euro for a scratch, $690 for the car rental and "full coverage insurance", $250 each for the two mechanics. Neither the local office or corporate will help. I have rented cars around the world for over 30 years for professional and personal travel. Never has a place caused me so much trouble or wasted more of my vacation time. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!

We asked to change the main driver accordingly. This was refused and no vehicle was provided. The company retained the full payment and falsely treated the case as "requirements not met", despite the fact that the rental could have proceeded. Retaining money for a service that was never delivered and refusing a reasonable solution is misleading and constitutes unfair business practice.

However, be aware that they may try to use their own exchange rate, and a further 2.5% commission. I got this changed, but could affect the exchange rate with the refund. I managed EUR1.0669 via my bank, but when it was refunded the rate of EUR1.2549 was used, when at the time the general rate was EUR1.181. I lost £6 overall, not a great loss in the scheme of things, but if you start to multiply their number of clients, then it starts to become a bit lucrative. Please be aware of this generally in Spain, with UK VISA cards, they will try to use their own exchange rates. The vehicle had to be inspected thoroughly, as there were numerrous dents and scratches. I did the stupid thing when returning the vehicle I didn't get them out of their hut to inspect. Nevertheless, fortunartely I didn't fall foul of any belated excess. I booked this via carrentals.co.uk. I was told that the booster seats would only cost me EUR50, in fact they cost EUR72. I have logged a complaint. Waste of time no response. It has been suggested that it would be cheaper to take the boosters in a separate bag, and get the extra charge from the airline.... Put in a bag recently, and no additional charge with BA.
