germany is not particularly known for high fashion let alone fashion in general...but this very popular clothing brand is beyond me!!
there is no concept, style, branding or a particular niche for whom this company would design for. one can see teens and omas wearing s.oliver as their clothing line are not particulary catered to any specific age group...it's just regular clothes for regular folks....at least in their outlets. i have glanced in the stores to get a peep and the only thing is better merchandising display and i quickly walked out as i was dying of boredom.
the clothes are not necessarily ugly although it's more on the unattractive side as it is boring, bland, highly uncreative and unbelievably ordinary.
s. oliver lacks esthetic sense and flair. shopping in a goodwill store is even more exciting.
i spend time in germany for 3 months at a time and people walking on the streets are in desperate need for fashion and beauty make-overs.
wo ist die fashion polizei?
i constantly wonder if it's bad clothing stores that invade germany hence the germans are badly dressed or the reverse.....germans have bad fashion taste therefore hideous clothes are created for them? this is to me the world's eighth wonder.
if you're an s.oliver fan...you can go crazy as this new and expanded outlet in rottendorf is big. read more
