I normally do not leave reviews, but my experience with this attorney was extremely disappointing…read moreand financially draining. I hired her in September before reporting to prison to pursue an ineffective assistance of counsel claim against my previous attorney. During our consultation, she strongly criticized my former attorney, told me he did a terrible job, and even stated that the judge in my case was racist and that she planned to request that the judge be recused. Based on those conversations, I trusted her and paid an initial $15,000 retainer. Unfortunately, months went by and nothing meaningful appeared to happen on my case. No filings were made, no clear strategy was communicated, and I was left constantly trying to get updates on next steps. Then, after about four months, when I started asking questions, I was told I needed to pay another $15,000, which I did because I believed my case was still being worked on and time was critical. Then, only about two months before my appeal opportunity expired, I received another request for an additional $30,000. At that point, I declined. Shortly afterward, she withdrew from my case entirely and left me without representation during a critical period. My advice to anyone considering hiring any attorney is to carefully read the retainer agreement line by line and make sure every promise, strategy, or expectation discussed during consultations is clearly written into the agreement before paying large retainers. In my experience, the retainer was broad and vague and did not clearly reflect many of the things discussed during our conversations. I also strongly encourage people to do extensive research, ask detailed questions about billing practices, timelines, deliverables, and communication expectations upfront before making a hiring decision. In my personal experience, a substantial amount of money was paid with little to no meaningful progress made on my case.

You fill out a form saying what happened, submit your $100 and he does the rest. He knows all the hearing officers and many of the police. He can be difficult to get a hold of, but he knows traffic law. His office is not fancy, but I would not expect that with a lawyer that charges $100. When I hired him, the officer did not show up for trial, so the ticket was thrown out. I do not know if the officer would not have shown up had I appeared myself, or if the officer saw he was representing me and decided it wasn't worth the grief of having to argue the ticket. Either way, it was $100 well spent. There are no guarantees with legal matters, and if the $100 reduced the chance of me having a ticket on my record, it was worth it for me.

I was told to reschedule my court date as the lawyer would be out of town. I attempted to but the DMV does not allow for changed court dates for these types of tickets, being a traffic attorney, they should have know this. I called them to say I couldn't reschedule and was told to review my tickets and see if my plates were clearly visible to the camera and to call back to discuss options. I called back and left two messages and never got a call back. Very unprofessional to not call me back. Court date came, and I just paid my tickets. I Called the office again on the day of court and the woman that answered could have cared less that I never got a call back. I would NEVER work with these people. AVOID and find a professional attorney that actually communicates effectively.

The agency's proposed adverse action against me was ultimately cancelled, which was the best possible result. Throughout the process, the team was professional, responsive, and strategic. They understood the nuances of federal employment law and helped me navigate an incredibly stressful situation with clarity and confidence. I always felt informed, supported, and well-advised. I'm deeply grateful for their advocacy and would strongly recommend Tully Rinckey to any federal employee facing serious adverse action. I highly recommend Ms. Brittany Forrester.

What I received was poor representation, excessive billing, and a complete lack of meaningful advocacy. Despite paying a substantial amount in fees, the firm billed heavily for vague communications, repetitive document revisions, and work that was largely based on materials I prepared myself. When I raised detailed concerns about the invoices and demanded a refund, the firm refused and instead claimed I still owed them additional money. The representation did not protect my relationship with my child. After their involvement, I was left with severely restricted communication and supervised parenting time -- a significant step backward from the prior arrangement. Communication from the firm was often dismissive, and when I pushed for accountability, the responses were unhelpful and confrontational. I would not recommend this firm to anyone dealing with family court matters. The combination of high fees, limited results, and refusal to address legitimate billing concerns made an already difficult situation worse.
