Worms in the food!!!! We used to come here quite often…read moreyears ago, and I have many good memories with the place, that's why I was looking forward to my visit this time. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the most terrible restaurant experience ever. I ordered duck with red fruits and sauce. While eating the strawberries that came with the duck, I saw a white worm moving on the strawberry. I immediately sent back the plate showing the worm to the waiter. He promised to fix it. Next, comes the manager and asks if I want the same dish. I told him that I do, but this time without a worm. He didn't even apologize at first, and came up with an explanation that worm was on the fruit, and that happens!! Nevertheless, we didn't want to make a big fuss and wanted simply to enjoy our evening. There comes the new plate. I eat the most of the meat with the sauce and see another worm on a strawberry piece! We called the manager. He apologized, but at this stage apology does nothing for me. I started having a bad panick attack and nausea. This is simply the worst service and quality of food I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. I strongly recommend not to trust the food and seafood at this establishment. I never leave bad reviews but for this one I am going to tell all my Belgian friends about this incident and use every social media to spread the word about their negligence for quality of food and service.

Oh dear, I had such high hopes…read more.. 1. It's tex-mex, not authentic mexican 2. It's very AVERAGE tex-mex - the tortilla wraps they use taste store bought, there are no fish tacos on the menu (literally the most popular thing in SoCal right now), choice is generally very limited 3. I ordered a burrito with sour cream, and when I got home and opened it: NO SOUR CREAM! It was literally the only thing I ordered on top, and they forgot it. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because I want to support new local businesses, and hopefully they get better. But I won't be returning till fish tacos are on the menu. 4. Perhaps most telling: none of the staff were Mexican. I don't think any are even full time. It seemed like a stall run by part time students, and the service was in line with that. So so disappointing. p.s. This place seems popular because clearly 90% of people don't know good mexican/tex mex food - the moment a decent alternative opens in the area, I guarantee this place will struggle.

Charming interior, friendly staff, extensive menu in French and English. The stoemp was delicious, the mashed potatoes were creamy but still chunky and had leeks mixed in. This place came up, but all the reviews were written in French, so I had a hunch that staff probably doesn't speak English. We put on a brave face and went. The first waiter didn't speak any English at all, but while we were lingering by the door and another waiter came by. He said he spoke a little English. He was very kind and accommodating. We tried to use Google Translate app, but didn't help much. But we got through. The foods were pretty good, and best of all, no tourists (even though we were tourists as well). We sat outside, so you hear the street noise, but that's about it. Good food, good wait staff, and good atmosphere. Whole 5/5 from me.
