Spent some time looking at the great designs for t-shirts and sweatshirts at Hug a Farmer stand. I ended up with a great olive-green t-shirt with an outline of the Nashville skyline. The vendor was so nice, and I love the shirts were Comfort Colors as they hold up really well.

The plant area was a bit decimated when we went this time. It's not surprising since we had a horrible ice storm recently. I bet they suffered some loss there. Normally it's a bright vibrant place full of lots of flowers and plants. I love browsing the area.

This was much more of a "bustling market" and since it is on the grass, families were able to spread out blankets and could stay to enjoy the live music! I very much enjoyed walking through and browsing, but as I had already purchased what I needed from the other farmer's market, I did not purchase anything this time around. However, I did feel that the vendors at the other location were a bit more personable and were very generous with samples and talking about what they offer. This one lacked that slightly, but overall had more of what I needed.

For the past three years, we've purchased fresh turkeys from Whitaker Farms. For the past three years, we have not been disappointed. Whether getting a huge turkey or getting a small one, their fresh turkeys are top notch. I have never had such moist, delicious turkeys in all my life. The fresh makes the difference. They also have other meats and meat products. Even delicious jerkys!! They are truly a Mom and Pop type establishment, but are very committed to quality.
