He will purposely do the job incorrectly to "get the job done" as fast as possible and then use high pressure tactics to try to get paid in full before the job is completed as agreed. Then he will make up reasons to try to charge you more money based on lies and threaten to take you to court if you do not pay him for an incomplete job. He becomes very aggressive and scary when he demands to be paid for incomplete work. He is unprofessional and unable to control his behavior. His entire focus is how fast he can get your money, not fulfilling the agreement and not providing high quality work. I hired Chris to create an opening for a door with brick where there is a window on the exterior of my garage that has brick. He cut the brick about a brick's height too low below the height of the garage floor and then did not make the height of the opening tall enough because he refused to take out the lintel and cut brick above the window so the opening would align with the garage floor. I raised legitimate concerns to him when he was doing the job, but disregarded me saying, "I am doing the job, I get to decide how it is done." I was mocked by him because he thought I asked too many questions. Turns out he messed up the job by ignoring my questions. I now have a non-functional big hole in my brick wall. He installed damaged brick and did not cut the brick properly so they all have noticeable un-even and broken edges. The mortar is not smooth in places and has even fallen out and it has been a week ago that this man ran off with half my money and then abandoned the job. On top of it all, he has harassed me for more money and tried to shift blame to me for his ineptness.
