I took my car to Barclays Autos due to a brake fault…read more Firstly, I told them the caliper was seized but they insisted on doing Diagnostic which took 5 mins and they charged me £78 for 5 mins of work..( £920 per hour ) I only live 10 mins from this garage , they phoned me to say it was the ABS Module before I arrived home. ( Hence how I knew that only spent 5 mins on the car ) Barclays quoted me £860 to fix the module and advised it would take 10 days to fix !! I questioned if a spare part can be used and was told the cost to program the part would cost the same as a new part .. Absolutely False information. There is no programming involved. The following day I took the car to a brake specialist and it cost me £100 to fix the seized caliper including new pads and it passed its MOT right away. Plus the work was done in a couple of hours, not 10 days. Absolute scamming rip off to charge £78 for a 10 min check of a car . Then trying to charge a further £860 for a job that incorrectly diagnosed . Went elsewhere only cost me £ 100 . That's £940.00 more I would have ended up paying if I used Barclay. And the problem would not have been resolved. Prime example of garage taking advantage of people, scamming money by misdiagnosing problems . Please get 3 quotes , don't be fooled by garages like this . Disgusting scammers!! I've reported them to trading standards

Looked at all these positive reviews and decided to do tyre alignment. The receptionist on the…read morephone was friendly and quoted £40, which seemed reasonable to me. We agreed the time, but when I came, they told me that my tyres worn out too much and they won't do alignment until I replace them. They told me they did not have in stock any tyres from their website so the only option for me was to buy cheap tyres and pay much more than elsewhere. As you can guess, the reason why those tyres were not on the website was because nobody would buy them for such a price! So I ended up buying Ovation tires, which cost max £50 fully fitted, for £71 each! Bad noisy tires with E fuel score and lost money. Disgusting experience. Avoid as there are many other alignment places nearby.
