The truth is that they don't try to convince me to fix it at their place which was the only positive about it. I have no reason for damaging their reputation but I feel that I should protect future customers from their lack of knowledge. They said to repair it would cost more £1600 thus they said dump it. They charged me £40 for the diagnostics ha ha ha! I took it just before I dump to the garage by hornsey station, I said it has been diagnosed as per TT1 notes, but before we dump it to the scrap yard please give it a last check. The diagnostics were...that one of the leads of my battery had been disconnected thus leading to the fan not being powered and the engine misfiring and getting overheated!!! Furthermore, I was asked by the hornsey garage man, why all these screws and etc are just placed here and not where they should be. I could only assume that TT1 unscrewd parts to check the engine and were too busy with other things than place them back. Totally disrespectful and incapable or at least that individual that check my car. If I were you I would avoid them, they r dangerous!

It's a bit insulting when they returned my car with new and dangerous defect both times I give if for them for a simple service! Each time It's been running fine when I dropped it off, but the 1st time I used them, as we drove through France the vibrations around the brakes was so strong we had to stay around 50mph until we could get back and have the brakes changed. A year later, I though, fair enough, it might have been a one off and I'm always quite Brixton-centric, but this time they broke the Diesel pipe for the diesel filter so that car was leaking fuel very obviously when they gave it back. They are shut on Fridays (not mentioned) and we had a boat to catch, so another garage (Manolo - grumpy but great) opened-up and found that off the hoses they had accidentally pulled-out (a few meaning that the car have almost no power above 30mph), the fuel filter connection have been roughly bent and broken. When they re-opened I told them and he promised to pay for the damage, and them never did. Don't bother. Go for the atmosphere, the dappled light through the grease covered skylights, bit don't go with your car.

I tried them last year because they were listed in the good garage scheme. They are quite competent…read moreand explain things need done (before starting it, of course), which I think is very good. However, there are a few things I don't really like about them: 1) Price £60 per hour + vat, better than dealers but still a bit high for a private garage. 2) Hours They open from 08:00 till 17:30, and close on Saturday. So I need to make arrangements at work to manage to send the car in for service/repair and to pick it up afterward. 3) Warranty works They do warranty works for warranty direct, but you have to pay them upfront and claim the money back from warranty company, also you need to pay for the labour rate differences (WD rate is £50 per hour) 4) Payments Cash payments only. Doesn't accept cards. It is the first garage I tried in London, so I guess it might not be fair to judge them. Based on my findings so far, it is a good garage, but not the perfect garage for me maybe I am being unreasonable, but for now, I am still on the hunt for the best garage. p.s. recently discovered that they are not on the good garage scheme anymore, which I think is a good thing. Because based on various forum comments, I'd prefer not to use garages listed in the scheme anymore.
