The opportunity to get under the hood and see all the work that's being and been done around the city. These are the buildings, structures and places that are normally closed to public access and they all make Milwaukee as cool as it is. I originally was just popping in to see 4 Seasons Skatepark but was urged to head down to the Zimmerman property since I was in the area. No disappointments here. This architectural firm is a Milwaukee treasure and they have taken an extremely old degraded building and breathed new life into it. Not only did they take a wide-open space and add all the charm and elegance of modern architectural flair but they made it alive and useful. Windows everywhere and not a bad view in the house one walks in and can only imagine coming into work at Zimmerman Architectural. Simply amazing! So much old and so much new make for a breathtaking view of an old space that holds all the charm of the modern. This entire swath of buildings once housed the Milwaukee Gas Light Company and was a mass of brick and mortar that formed the structures in the Menomonee River Valley. Now years later these buildings have been repurposed and modernized into what they are today. Nothing less than amazing is what I see this area as. If you ever have a chance to get in any of these facilities go enjoy, you won't be let down.

Founded by film director/writer/producer John Ridley, NO has a strong connection to film. I had the pleasure of seeing a film screening here in May 2022! My barber made a short film! The screening room is incredible- with two tiers of comfy seats, more films, please! NO is stylish, and there's a full bar with affordable drink prices and friendly staff. This place has a very locally supportive mission, and I picked up some locally design NO swag for my niece's birthday. I can't wait for my next visit to NO, and definitely considering that membership option!

Our two balloons "kissed on the launch upward which was cool to see. It was amazing to see how the winds affected our balloons at different flight levels. After 45 minutes of flight our landing came too soon as I could have stayed up there for hours to see the countryside. The crew was right these to assist in our landing and get us packed up and returned to the home base within minutes Everyone - passengers and crew joined in the champagne celebration where we toasted our good fortune to have experienced the morning flight and the traditions of ballooning. The site says you need about 45-60 minutes, but it's more like 20 if there's no crowds. For anyone who has done a MeowWolf, this is like 1/100th the size, basically two rooms. I will say the overall storyline and concept is very intriguing and had me engaged in the first room, but then once you realise there's only one other large room it's a let down. I'd love to see them expand to the Wisconsin Center like the Van Goh exhibit and have a several month run in a large scale area with several sections. Overall, for the price of $15/ticket I cannot recommend this. Maybe at $7. The staff was very friendly though and engaging.
