The hotel has secure parking on the side of the building. You will need a gate code to access. This is a plus!!! The parking lot and hotel location is easily accessible to go in and out of the marina. This is very important because it gets very busy and has a lot of traffic. The bed is very comfortable and made our sleep enjoyable. The accommodation include a small kitchenette, Nespresso, two separate toilets and a large standing shower. There is also a tub as well and they provide you with toothpaste, toothbrush, shaver and shaving cream. The staff is very friendly and can speak English. Special thanks to Laetitia for being so helpful throughout our stay. With her recommendation we visited beautiful beaches and ate at very good restaurants. Don't pass up staying at this modern hotel with luxury amenities. But note that this hotel does not have an elevator. We were with my parents (dad 74 and mom 65) they had no problem walking up and down 3 flights of stairs. It was not an issue for them or for us. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you plan a trip to Bonifacio, Corsica.

A boutique hotel located just above one of the prettiest little beaches in Sardinia, Rena Bianca…read more We stayed one night in a beach view, deluxe room in mid September while the weather and water were still warm enough to swim. The price was very reasonable -around 300€ and included breakfast. We were in room 109 overlooking the beach. The bed and pillows were very firm and their were usb power ports on either side of the bed along with small tables which I always appreciate. Furnishings were simple with white tile floors and white interior throughout. The room wasn't overly big but didn't feel cramped. The small bathroom with single sin k still had room for a great rain shower. We also had a large balcony with white wicker table and chairs so could sit outside during a couple of brief rain showers. The main allure here is the beach-just a 2-minute walk down. The hotel also has a large number of beach chairs (many under shady trees) dedicated to guests which is great because I'm certain this beautiful beach gets packed in high season. No pool at this hotel though, just a reflecting pool to add ambiance to the restaurant and bar. Try to sit out there for breakfast. Note: they have 24 parking spaces but they MUST be reserved in advance (did not see this on their website anywhere-20€/day) or else you have to try for paid street parking (enforced 9-midnight) at 1€/hr-we got lucky on street. A great stay and wonderful beach.

This is Easily a 5-star property with spacious villa suites, a great pool and bar area and modern conveniences, yet why only 3-stars you ask? Being a seasonal property (they close at the end of October) means they have a young, inexperienced staff which is readily apparent from the first moment you arrive. They just aren't skilled in dealing with they type of people who are paying 500€ per night for a hotel room. Secondly the food and beverage service is sub-par. While there was a breakfast buffet included in our rate the food options while varied were institutional and hum drum; far below expectations for a luxurious French resort. Also the food available at the bar was disappointing. We ordered a charcuterie platter and also a bruschetta board to accompany some wine instead of taking another 25€ taxi trip (each way) into town for dinner. The meat looked like leftovers from breakfast with an off color. The bruschetta was essentially toast with some cherry tomatoes and herbs. It was dry and flavorless-such a missed opportunity both to enhance revenue and to reinforce the luxury brand they want to cultivate. Bottom line-if you have a car and don't mind dealing with the extreme parking challenges in Bonifacio , the food issues might not matter. In which case the property itself is a beautiful oasis of calm and peace. Tips based on our experiences: But don't ask them to do laundry as you won't necessarily get it back the same day as the only person able to do it leaves at 3. Also don't arrive before 4 as your room likely won't be ready despite the emails they send asking for your arrival time, and there's really no place to hang out unless it's nice enough to get in the pool. Sorry Cala di Greco, you have so much unrealized potential....

The beds are comfy and the rooms are fully air conditioned which is nice considering how hot it gets here! Our room had its own private court yard in front which our bathroom opened up to allowing you to shower partially in nature, and it's so warm out it's actually a nice thing to do. The breakfast provided from 8-10 AM is a great way to start the day, fresh food, large variety and over looking the infinity pool and marina below. Quaint and cozy, a good stop in the area to explore Bonifacio.

The hotel is centrally located right off the ferry. It easily had the largest bathrooms in any Italian hotel I have stayed in (which isn't saying much). It is also very close to a bank and an ATM that works with my American bank cards. I lived in the area a while ago and speak a little Italian (Sardo-Italian), which was plenty to speak to the hotel staff. Nobody seemed English fluent, but everyone on the staff was friendly and communication wasn't a problem (same goes for the whole island). One drawback: the staff are mostly not from the area and work seasonally, so if you ask for advice on the local area or businesses they don't have much in the way of good advice there. The island imports large numbers of seasonal workers in the summer who don't know much about where things are or know much about other businesses in La Madd. I will stay here again.

The lovingly designed and spacious rooms and facilities (including stunning sea view) made us feel at ease from the first moment. Whichever dish we chose from the menu at lunch or dinner (and we picked a lot of them), the food was consistently outstanding. We also used the SPA and the treatments were top notch. Last but not least, the entire hotel staff created a warm and authentic overall atmosphere that made us feel "at home". In summary we spent a dream holiday at the Don Cesar and will definitely come back again.

They have swimming pool too, but who wants a swimming pool if there is such a marvelous sea. Kids? Breakfast was included. Buffet with fruits, pastries, etc. Like a continental selection, with no smoked salmon, nor omelets or Champaign. But all they offered was delicious. For dinner we ordered room service from their restaurant and enjoyed it at our terrace - in a company with stray cats who wanted to have a bite too, how lovely! The best thing about the room though is the view, absolutely amazing! If you want to go down to the beach you could choose to go to the hotels private beach or to the right of the hotel you have public beaches. Snorkeling in the water is nice due to rock formations underwater and various fish. Breakfast is good and the bar serves refreshing drinks. Wifi is really unreliable and we were happy when it worked... So to the real problem, it was not possible to lock the glass door to the terass. Something the staff knew but choose not to tell us. This meant that if you did not chose to close the metal gate (and block the view) the room would be open to anyone to walk straight in as the room is on ground level. We noticed this the first night before leaving but I guess many guests before and after us will miss to notice the small green dot in the right door that tells you the door is unlocked. When we asked the reception for assistance the initially gave us a sour face and told us there was nothing they could do about it right now, and nothing was done during our stay... However the place is nice but if you stay here, make sure to lock the metal gate and for dinner try the restaurant la cirque to the left of the hotel as it's better value for your money.
