This hotel/resort was not for us although it was very nice. If you're looking for a spa and…read moremichelin star restaurant then this place would be perfect. We on the other hand wanted to see Corsica and get into our car early to explore a bit instead of getting spa treatments. We even didn't eat at the restaurant although we were curious. There were too many places to try in the week we were there. The one girl at the front desk that checked us in was very nice although the wait staff at breakfast and on the deck were less than helpful. We had to flag them down to get service. Breakfast was scheduled to start at 7am and we headed over at that time to get our day started early. We found out that some of the hot food didn't even get put out until much later the 2nd night before we left. I also noticed that the guests were primarily in the retirement age so maybe the staff was more used to dealing with that age group. We went in late September when most people go back to work. The grounds are beautiful and the chairs were plentiful at the private beach probably because it was off season. They also only have hardwood floors, (at least in our room), so we were able to hear our neighbors walking around, shutting doors, and drawing their curtains. Another thing that I found odd was that the turn down service sometimes went as late as 9:30pm so we only utilized it once. We wouldn't stay here again if we were to return to Corsica due to the type of travelers we are.

The rooms are decent, they have a sparsely decorated and furnished small private courtyard with an out door shower. We got the handicapped accessible room for some reason so other rooms may be different but our bathroom left a lot to be desired, but that's often the case with handicapped accessible bathrooms. The beds were good, this is the only hotel we've had on our tour of Corsica that got the pillows right! Everywhere has huge dense, heavy pillows you have to crane your neck to sleep on, not the case here. The WiFi dropped out frequently and the are no good ways to charge anything near your bed with out unplugging things and moving nightstands. Also the lights are incredibly harsh inside at night and we opted to just turn everything off instead of feeling like we were in a stadium. The rooms were clean and smelled nice, ours had weird furniture placement but possibly due to it being the handicapped accessible room. We didn't use the pool since it's right in the middle of the hotel, right next to the restaurant and seems awkward but we did go to the beach and played in the Mediterranean Sea which was great. Service was wonderful, everyone we dealt with was gracious and pleasant, any questions or needs you had were addressed immediately and fully. Very happy in that regard. Overall it's a great place, certain aspects are lacking but not to the point they're more than a mild inconvenience.

Now this is a true find if you're looking for sun, beach, pool and food in a kid-friendly spot in…read moreCorsica. We had our own little bungalow with an outdoor kitchen that, while hardly spacious, was just enough for our family of three for a week. The outdoor kitchen was really the highlight since it can get so HOT during the day that the last thing you want to do is be indoors cooking, plus dining al fresco in your own kitchen screams VACATION! The booking of the bungalow was super seamless thanks to the extremely helpful and sweet Carine who each time I called with some random question in the rush leading up to our holiday was totally helpful and reassuring. She made sure that our bungalow had all of the necessities (linens, baby bed, high chair, etc..) to make our first vacation avec bébé as smooth as possible, though we realized that vacation and parenting are two mutually exclusive terms, at least with a 2-year old. The pool is perfect, and the beach across the street from the residence is fine, but you'll have a better beach experience if you head up to Candella beach just five minutes north or one of the swimming creeks off of the road leading to Bavella (stop at the Camping on your right then walk down a set a stairs to the water, it's divine!). What's also great about this place is that the restaurant on site serves fantastic brick over pizza and local wine until midnight each night, so you can dine in or take it back to your bungalow and they'll just charge you at the end. There's also a cute café/tabac right on the premises that sells fresh bread and croissants as well as magazines and bottled water so you don't have to schlep that far for your essentials. My only critique was over the shower which was tiny and equipped with a flimsy curtain that was way too short creating a deluge in the bathroom every time you washed.
