I had a great experience here, the sales associates can be a bit crusty but they've experienced a lot of theft and now they are very weary of sketchy looking people so don't come in with your sunglasses down or anything. That said, I speak French so I was able to talk to the sales associates freely here and they were really helpful. All the big-time luxury designer labels are here; Jean-Paul Gaultier, Azzedine Alaia, Thierry Mugler, Vivienne Westwood, Antony Price, Claude Montana, Chanel, Hermes, Fendi, Dolce and Gabbana, Givenchy, Burberry, Celine, Balanciaga, Gianfranco Ferre, Versace, Paco Rabanne, Max Mara, Rick Owens, Helmut Lang and many, many others, and that's just the clothes. Shoes and purses also has an equally long list. The thing with vintage shopping and second-hand shopping , is that it is hit or miss. The secret to scoring a real find where you can check off right fit, right price, right item is dropping in often and since that's not possible for me, I really took my time to look through everything while I was here. I didn't find any tops, skirts or scarves that really tickled my fancy this time but when I went over across the street, to their outerwear store, I found a reversible wool/cashmere fall overcoat from Celine in fantastic condition, at a damn good price, I figured because it is reversible, it's basically two coats for the price of one. I'd have no hesitation whatsoever to come back here. Prices are not cheap but if you compare a Jean-Paul Gaultier coat straight off the runway (approx. 10 000 Euros), and here (approx. 900 Euros), you're still getting a deal. read more

I ended up here in a whim with no prior research. I was shopping and decided to look up some stores and ran across a blog with this store so I hopped in a taxi to check it out. Upon entering it seems very itty bitty but as I kept shopping I spoke with the saleswoman who led me down to the basement where there is the shoe room and more clothes. I thought they had a great selection but it was all a little overwhelming to me to see all of the racks and racks of items. Upstairs the clothes were sorted by brand and downstairs they were sorted by size. There was a large selection of handbags but I did not think the prices on handbags were that great given the wear. They also had accessories that were priced well. One thing I didn't notice at first was a sign for discounts. They had certain colors on tags marked down. The saleswoman explained it to me towards the end of my visit. I ended up only coming out with one item but it was 58€ and when I looked it up online later it was well over 800€ new. Hands down, the best luxury vintage store in Paris. In business for 30 years, the store now stretches across 4 separate locations all on the same block - 1 men's, 1 bags, 1 woman's clothing and 1 jewelry. Extensive collection of French luxury designers with the largest inventory of Chanel we had found. The owner could not be nicer and gave us very fair pricing. Like all places in Paris, the more you buy, the more discount you will receive. Don't expect to get a large discount on one Chanel item. read more

This place was really, really disappointing. As someone who has worked as a vintage and designer resale buyer for the past ten years, I was really looking forward to visiting some of the resale shops in Paris during my last trip abroad. I went in to Réciproque with my mom, aunt, and cousin, and we all had equally negative experiences. When we walked in, no one said a word, they merely leered at us from across the room and then followed us around the store as if we were about to shoplift at any moment. I would be somewhat more understanding if this were common procedure, HOWEVER, other customers walked in and suddenly these extremely skeptical and silent sales people came to life, greeting and assisting the customers. My aunt tried on a single sweater as a sales woman stood within one foot of her dressing room, silently. Very strange and uncomfortable. While, yes, there were a few decent pieces in the shop, a great deal of it was extremely outdated and overpriced. Maybe I just am extremely spoiled here in the U.S., but I couldn't really find myself getting that excited over a $60 Marc by Marc Jacobs blouse from 5-8 seasons ago or early 2000s Prada skirts for over $100. Merchandise aside, I was instantly turned off by this place upon walking in the front door. I think it's incredibly poor customer service to treat some individuals differently than others. There is no way for anyone to know who I am and what kind of money I am looking to spend based on their initial reaction to my appearance. read more

I'm not sure why i ended up here as i don't shop vintage or consignment. I just don't have the patience. Next door to the best pet store ever with the cutest kittens and dogs, i went in. After looking at bags with no desire to buy, i was told that downstairs there were shoes. within minutes i had a lovely pair of chanel and hogan. i'm not sure the vintage dates but they are in perfect condition, legit as i found them online for many hundred dollars more and i will definitely return. the merchandise is spotless, the staff helpful. and theres a jewelry consignment store right across the street, also Reciproque. this is a real find in the 16th. read more

really old stuff for the price of new stuff. staff was rude and stood over you as you shopped. it was not worth wasting half of my day in Paris at this place. A old, very badly stained Hermès scarf was 295 euros. They had a current season Louis Vuitton scarf with a hole in it for 10 Euros less than it sells for. Do not waste your time. read more
