I had heard really good things about this vintage store and decided to check it out while I was in Paris. Upon entering the store I was the only one there, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Staff gets five stars!
The store merchandise was a bit different. The first thing I spotted was a pair of vintage Chanel flats in my size in the window. They were a bit beat up and had seen better days, but I had been looking for a pair and figured I might be able to get a slightly worn-out pair for a bit less. When I looked at the price tag they were over $150! They are Chanel flats, I get it, but you can easily get a pair in much better condition for much cheaper on Ebay. Upon conversation with the staff there didnt seem to be any room for negotiation on prices.
Now, this store is huge and is on multiple levels. There is a LOT of stuff. Im sure there are tons of great finds, but you have to really put in the time and effort to find them. They do have a whole section of vintage Levis jeans and shorts which seemed to have some reasonable prices. The upstairs section is mostly filled with vintage high-end stuff, but I just didnt find any of it terribly wearable. Most of it was the wacky stuff that you probably wouldnt get a ton of use out of. Downstairs was the more realistic clothing, but still some of the prices were really out there, like $60 for a used, pilled and washed out shirt from the 70's. Again, this seems to be a store to find the rare diamond in the rough, not for the average vintage shopper. read more
