We have had the same hygienist the last year or so and she is amazing, friendly and very gentle. on my last visit a month ago and my daughters visit she had today we had a different hygienist. To say she was the exact opposite would be a understatemen. There was no conversation, a lot of pain and blood, overall experience was terrible for both of us. They won't even stay in my mouth and they are so uncomfortable they give me major headaches. I went to so many appointments with them getting it wrong that I finally just gave up and was stuck with a very inadequate pair. I really wish that they would have explained the process to me better before I decided to go that route. They hardly explained anything. They so no compassion or even apologize for my situation. Seems like everyone I know has had some kind of negative experience to share about dental offices. I lucked out coming here because it's the first dentist I have gone to since moving to Oklahoma, but it proved to be a great choice. The staff is SO friendly and personable. I came in while pregnant and they accommodated all my needs to make sure I felt safe and comfortable while getting my teeth cleaned and my fillings done. The office is super clean and I loved being able to watch Martha Stewart bake cookies while i had my work done, it was a great distraction. They tell me I have THIRTEEN and need to get them fixed asap. I freak out because it's a couple grand. Send my X-rays to two different dental offices for their opinions. Both said "uhh we'd keep an eye on two or three of these spots but wouldn't call any of it a cavity/fill anything in." Mustang north did an excellent and reasonably priced wisdom teeth removal for me. But I will never have them clean and care for my teeth again.

Disclaimer - this dentist profits from your insurance before your work is complete. For example, if you have taken an impression of a bridge and you change your mind...while your waiting (autonomy, finances, personal wishes, etc.) you will have to go through a reimbursement process and Dr. Tarter will charge you for services that she did not initially plan to charge you for... since you changed your mind. According to Delta Dental, a pay-out for a crown is not suppose to occur until the bridge has been seated (cemented). Where all the issues began... This is where I am, what hurts the most is that... I chose this dentist because I had built a relationship with the dentist, not the rude culturally unaware receptionist or office assistant. After thousands of dollars and years later... due to one hiccup along the way with my fiances, I wasn't offered a payment plan for $413.00 (this would've completed 5+ years of dental work). After 5 years... of me maxing out my dental insurance, every year. Over and over again, I was told that they were trying to help me and help me figure things out but not once did anyone ask me... what would work for me, whats applicable for you, Erica. What could you pay...and how often (that's how you help someone, not whats best for you, but what is best for the patient) That's what hurt, that's what made me realize that this dentist would value money over the welfare of my oral health. I have been in temporary crowns for one month. It's getting cold... the holidays are approaching. It sucks... However, the respect and level of loyalty exemplifies the courage that I have to move forward... I'm a hard worker! I do not ask for hand outs or ask anyone to pity me! I will hold a Master degree in 12 weeks, I work 40+ hours a week. I'm a single mother of three. I'm the POA of my father that is fighting cancer. I've worked so hard to get where I am. All I ever asked for is the adequate healthcare, truth, empathy, and respect when it came to my oral health. I feel betrayed, confused, and all of the above by who I trusted to care for me! This is not supposed to be how I should be feeling, at this point I could've went to a dentist that offered ALL services in one day (years ago)...I didn't have to miss work, school, or meetings. Usually I hate the X-rays because they're so rough and quick but she took her time and was very gentle. Dr Duffel was great! He was super friendly and easy to talk to. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a while, and this was partially because the last hygienist that cleaned my teeth was terrible. She cut my lips and got water on my face and was overall super rough, messy, and rushed. Cassidy on the other hand was very gentle, thorough and checked in with me regularly to see if there was any discomfort. It was actually weird how relaxing it was, both my husband and I talked afterwards about how we were almost drifting off in the chair despite the scraping noise! The other stand out part of our visit was that the doctor took his time with us. We got all our questions answered and we spent enough time with him that we actually got to see his passion as a dentist.
