When traveling in Europe stick to the names you know best. We booked a flight to Budapest to see our son. I should have booked with British Airways but the flight was a little pricey so I went with Ryan Air. The website was easy to use. The options and pricing were clear. Judging from their professional looking website I figured the actual service would be similar. Professional, customer friendly, accommodating, you know, customer friendly. WRONG! Booking is the easy part. The website works super well when you are booking the flight and checking out. It all starts going wrong when you need to retrieve your boarding pass. The website hiccups, glitches, etc. If you don't get that boarding pass before you get to the airport they will penalize you big time. There's a fine and then a line or two. You will probably miss your flight unless you are very lucky. What looked great in the beginning ends up as a headache producing nightmare. What? You have an extra bag? They don't take money in the line where they take your bags. That is a separate line. Of course I was sent to the wrong line. Another lady took pity on us and walked us to the front of the customer service line. Magically, the lady who takes the bags was on a break. Of course no one else can take your bag, you have to wait for her to come back. I feel tortured reliving this as I'm writing it. Make sure you eat and use the bathroom before you head to this airport. The attitude of the personnel I interacted with at this airport was apathetic and jaded to say the least. I did not feel valued or appreciated as a customer. I felt like they were doing me a gigantic favor and I was at their mercy. The airport is Stansted. Thinking small airport, should make things more simple. WRONG AGAIN! If you survive the check in process, the mis information given to you by airport personnel and security you have to make it to the gate. They don't allow lipstick, lip gloss or mascara through security unless it fits in a quart sized ziploc. They are nice enough to provide these. Hopefully you aren't like me. The bag was so full I was afraid it wouldn't close. I can appreciate the need for extra security but lipstick, really? We thought we weren't going to make the plane as the monitors were flashing "boarding gate closing." Did I mention the gate was at the end of the airport? The tram didn't go in that direction. This airport is a large maze of retail stores. You have to get through those stores and crowds of people to get to your gate. My poor daughter got a charley horse and was in tears by the time we actually got to the gate. We arrive at the gate and what? No one has boarded yet. WHAT? Why were the electronic boards flashing "boarding gate closing"? Just another wonderful feature to make you feel appreciated as a passenger. We didn't board for another 10 minutes. I'm just glad we made the flight. read more

Paid big sums to fly with ryanair because nothing else was available. After rejecting endless offers while booking online, and of course paying for everything that I needed, they charged me £70 for not having my ticket printed out. Ryanair is probably the worst scam I have witnessed. I will avoid this company in the future, no matter what. One star out of five is too much! read more

My flight was delayed for over 8 hours but there were other flights going and coming. It's ridiculous that I had to wait in the airport since 12:30 and not have left by 21:00 when my flight was supposed to be at 13:10 They should consider the fact that other people would be waiting at the airport for hours. I'll never fly with them again read more

Worst Airline I've ever been on. They create manipulative restrictions and poorly communicate them. Although you have to accept that's the way they choose to do business when you book, I would avoid them unless the savings are greater than 50 percent. 50 because of the risk associated with breaking their rules, to offset the cost of baggage, and because of principle. read more

I completely grasp the concept of no frills airlines and the allure of super cheap travel... and the concessions one needs to make...understand...accept...endure.. I understand the need to fly from an obscure airport, the basic plastic yellow seating, the constant 'non stop' sales pitch throughout the flight, [cash scratch off tickets, duty Free, calling cards, Sim cards], heck... I can even understand the legit up charges for heavy baggage... Really...it's all very acceptable and understandable... Where I have to draw the line is with the staff at check in... Where do they get these girls... do they recruit them out side dive bars in very questionable areas of town ? Do they send them to a Ryanair camp for an 'intensive' in bitch training... Are they denied a job on Ryanair University 'graduation day' if they aren't the rudest, crudest, most ignorant, uneducated, self serving, hilariously condescending naff's [love that term] in all of England? Stansted isn't nearly as bad as I'd been led to believe... frankly... it's a fine airport....Ryanair however is the ugly stain on the apron[excuse the pun.] Funny thing... while boarding....{late mind you} A French guy gets a hold of an announcers microphone and over the intercom lambasts Ryanair in french....naughty words I dare not translate nor print here... to the entire section of terminal.....Priceless... From now on...I'll pay the extra for BA, Luft, Airfrance, Air Lingus etc... read more

Went Ryanair from Stansted to Marbella, staff were very friendly and helpful, only criticism was the seat we had, I had booked extra legroom, but there wasn't much more than normal, and the seats seemed very narrow. Ok, it's isn't BA, but you get what you pay for and as a budget airline they were good. read more
One star because we took off on time from Stansted and landed in Rome just fine. It's all rubbish after that. You'll find this review is connected to an airport review also. Buckle up!! This is all about the return journey from Rome, their crap care of my luggage and non-existant communication and customer service. The worse customer service (I use that loosely) in Ciampino: -No communication either phone, text or walk up & tap me on the shoulder to say 'Your flight is going to be delayed more than 3hrs (true story) and here is a food/drink voucher courtesy of Ryanair. Oh, actually no you will just have to starve until you get back to the UK tonight!' -No communication as I stood with the multitudes waiting to get through the departure security (over 3hrs) to say, 'By the way, you're about to be diverted but we're going to keep that a secret along with any other information you will need like we aren't going to transfer your bag to the diverted airport either and that's going to cause you additional headache and expense in London, but we'll just keep you in the dark. When you complain, we'll ignore that too." Rubbish!! -No communication as we were taken by shuttle bus from departures (when we finally were permitted through) back to arrivals. To our confusion, no one saying anything as we explained we are departing customers not arriving. Just the driver of the shuttle pointing to us to go inside the building. Why? Where are we going? Where is the Ryanair ground staff to advise & guide us? Oh, they are probably using the food/drink vouchers they did not give us so don't want to interrupt their break. Rubbish!! -No communication or visible ground staff as we all stood outside the arrivals entrance looking angry and confused, wondering which way to go? Wondering where to go? Wondering where is anyone from Ryanair!? Rubbish!! -No communication given to the diverted airport; when I arrived and tried to go through security was told I could not because I was in the wrong airport. Another 15mins later, the diverted airport decides to call Ciampino only to be told the ridiculous situation. Permitted through security. Rubbish!! -No communication when arriving at the gate of departure at the diverted airport that there was going to be another 20min delay. Rubbish!! -My luggage has not arrived at Stansted. Wonder if that is because they never transferred it to Fiumicino airport?! Of course it was. Wonder why they never contacted me during the 3hrs I was stood in the departures area of Ciampino to re-collect the checked in luggage?! Oh, they didn't care. -Complaint to the luggage desk at Stansted. Let me point out that it is now going on 6pm and all I have consumed was an espresso at my friends' home in Rome at 7am!! Was asked if I wanted a coffee. NO, I want my bag that Ryanair had a duty of care to transport or advise of any issues with so I can go home!! Rubbish!!!!!!! -Bag arrived around 10:30pm-ish at Stansted from CIAMPINO - who never transferred it or advised me to re-claim it!! Told they will deliver it the next day. 5mins later a call-back from Ryanair to say they won't deliver it because, wait for it, "IT WAS MY FAULT I DID NOT GO BACK TO CIAMPINO AND GET MY CHECKED IN LUGGAGE AND TAKE IT TO FIUMICINO." So, Ryanair is asking me to either return to the Stansted (which is not up the road from my home in Southeast London) to get my bag that they are now putting the blame for on me. I cannot write swear words in a review but you can guess my reaction! Absolute Rubbish!!! Several, email form complaints later STILL no resolution to my claim for compensation to travel back to Stansted to retrieve my bag. No resolution or compensation for not giving me food or drink. No compensation for a flight delayed and diverted over 3 hours!! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE USE RYANAIR!! This is the 2nd time (2008 and now 2016) I have used them and had a diabolically, horrendous experience. They have no shame and no Customer Service ethos! They are one of the worst airlines EVER!! read more

I recently flew on Ryan Air Three different flights. The first from Karlsruhe Ger. to London Stansted London. The airport was nearly an hour from Karlsruhe. The Ryan employee who checked us in forgot to stamp my boarding pass and so I was sent back from customs to get it stamped. Then they rushed us into the boarding area like the flight was going to go out early. After a wait until the flight was over an hour late to board an anouncement came over the innercom saying that the flight was still on the ground in London and that they would inform us when it was in the air and they knew the arrival time. after the flight was 2 1/2 hrs late taking off we finally left. No explanation was given or appology made. I cant say I will never fly Ryan again because the price was extremely low but now that I know many of their airports are up to 125 k. out of town I will check into other options. Gee maybe I can find a flight with a seat that reclines. read more

Worst airline I've ever flown on! *** BE WARNED*** Their carry on bag sizes are smaller than any other airline and they include the wheels! If you get to the gate with a carry on that is too large they will extort 50 Euros per bag!!! They're too cheap to pay for jetways so be prepared to walk out to the plane in any weather and climb the stairs. If you have sensitivity to perfume you'll need to hold your breath for a few minutes as the staff walk down the aisle with an extremely strong smelling cart of perfumes that they're hawking. I'm surprised they haven't started charging to use the restroom yet - they charge extra for everything else! ** Avoid if at all possible ** read more

Will not fly RyanAir again and will also not use Stanstedt airport again. Initial cost looked attractive so I booked. Stanstedt airport cost us about 50 British pounds in total per person to get there from South Kensington, London. Hard to see how they even call it a London airport as it's a 45 minute train via Stanstedt Express from Liverpool Station. Then Ryanair Baggage costs add up, too. I tried to check in online but it wouldn't accept it as somehow my 14 yr old daughter was booked as an adult vs a child. Even though I had tried to check in online and had provided all info, Ryanair deleted it in their system because of the error. I imagined it would be fine to check in at the airport. Yes, but in another queue in which they wanted to charge me 45 British pounds per person since I didn't check in online. I had already paid about 75 for each ticket excluding checked bag fees; this is crazy. I explained the situation and my frustration, that I had tried to check in online. Agent called someone on phone and was able to waive check in fee for my daughter but not for me. Again, if the system would've kept what I entered it would be fine. My theory, they want you to encounter these errors to get more money. Our flight was delayed 1 hr. :-( the annoyance is building. Upon boarding plane the lovely flight staff (they are sales people dresses as flight attendants) hands you a catalog which we politely declined. They offer for sale items throughout the flight from food and drinks to perfume. No complimentary anything. There are large advertisements on every overheard bin and on every head rest back. I didn't enjoy this, felt like sensory overload visually plus the selling via speaker system. Stanstedt airport felt chaotic with so many queues. Our Edinburgh taxi driver confirmed as well, "Stanstedt is a horrid airport". The sweet validation from a local. It would been cheaper, less time, less queues, less chaos and generally more enjoyable to just take a lovely train all the way to Edinburgh from London. We woke at 6:30 to catch our 12:30 flight, arriving in Edinburgh finally at about 14:50. Now I know. Safe and hopefully happy travels to you all in your adventures. read more

Ryan air is the poorest excuse for an airline i've ever encountered. First of all, they stuff you in the plane like a sardine. It should be embarrassing how little let space they give you. This is just the beginning. The seats are DISGUSTING. Clearly nothing is cleaned between flights as the floor is also covered in litter too. The flight attendants are poor excuses for human beings with how rude they are to you. I could place money on the fact that the planes haven't passed an inspection in years. Also, why does an airline sell perfume in it? Budget airline is an understatement. Only fly Ryanair if you hate yourself read more

This airline sucks beyond words. They will rape you for every dime you got. Don't be fooled by the cheap prices. Only if you're Irish spending a short - short! - weekend in London with only a toothbrush as your baggage should you even consider it. Plus the customer service blows! Aerlingus isn't much better (what is it with these Irish airlines?!) but they won't try to steal your wallet. read more

I guess the saying is true: you get what you pay for! I now know I will be paying extra $$$ for a better airline! First of all, before I flew with Ryanair, many of my friends told me how I needed to print my boarding pass and check in or else they would charge. So I did just that and arrived at the airport an hour and half earlier than when the gate closed (30 min before take off). I waited in line for 20 min only to be told once I reached the desk that I was in the wrong line, then sent to another area to wait to again, check my bags in. They should have had Ryanair staff near the line offering to help customers and make sure people were in the correct line. Many others made the same mistake. Once there front of the other line, I was told I needed to go to another line to just pay for my bags. Waited another 20 min, then back the other line for another chance to check my bags in. Why didn't the check in luggage people have a means to charge me for my bags? Doing that would have saved me a good 40 min and I would have made my flight! So after I finally got to the front of the line, the gate was closed and I was offered to be put on the next flight...but wait, I had to pay full price for it! I didn't get any credit from the flight I missed. Not even any credit from the bags I just payed to be checked in for the previous flight! I was livid, asked to speak to a manager. I waited for 20 min for her to come out of her office, was told repeatedly by other staff she would be right out, but she never showed. SO, I emailed Ryanair my complaint and they replied saying they don't call their customers and if I wanted to speak to someone it would have to be over an online chat. Hmmmm.... It all seems a little fishy. In my opinion, the company is TRYING to make you miss your flight so you have to pay full price for another ticket. I won't be wasting any more money with this airline. Thank God they're not in the US. read more

Avoid this airline like the Black Plague! -The low rates are subsidized by how many hidden fees they tack on after you book -I paid 70 GBP at the airport for checking in less than a day in advance, 60 GBP because my luggage would not fit in their baggage checker (though many others passed me taking on luggage that was the same size), and then they wanted me to pay 3000 Swedish Krones in Sweden in order to print my already checked in flight confirmation (i refused to do since that was an atrocious amount, we ran to the hotel that was next door and paid 14-15 GBP for THEM to print it, ran to get our boarding pass accepted, get through security, then found out the flight was delayed an hour, which no one told us about when we first asked. All the stress, sweat, and anxiety for nothing!) -Terrible customer service. None of the staff we encountered were friendly, all made us feel as if we were bothering them. -The equipment is cheap and makes you feel as if you are lucky you arrived/survived at all. -No complimentary beverages, not even water is free -The queuing system is a complete mess, with no one knowing where to go or wait -They neglected to handle us our customs forms on the plane, which made us have to frantically fill them out when we got back in the UK, with not a single pen that worked. Do not, DO NOT fly with Ryanair, it is not worth it, you can fly with Norwegian air, british airways any other airline and pay 20-50 pounds/euro more and it is money well spent not to stress. Ryanair has to subsidize its cheap fights by kicking you in the pants with hidden fees, extra charges, and unclear pre-arrival instructions. If you must or choose to take the risk of flying with them: read everything, ask someone who has flown with them before, measure and weigh your bag, put your bathroom stuff in a sealed plastic ziploc, you only get one bag so put purses in your luggage, print your confirmation details before you leave the house, check in more than a day in advance, and don't be surprised if you end up spending more on this flight than you had hoped. read more

!!!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT USE RYAN AIR !!!!!!! They scam you 70 euros if you didn't print your boarding pass They also charge 60 to check bag at Tarmac so all liquids get thrown out at security. They try to tell you your bag won't fit in overhead, walking around with a box for you to fit your bag into. Seats don't recline. Selling newspapers, lottery tickets ,perfume etc on plane NEVER AGAIN read more
Ryanair profits by taking fees for things normal airlines treat as basic -- e.g. checking in and printing a boarding pass. If you fail to check in before you get to the airport -- Americans take note! -- you will need to pay £45 to do so. If you don't have a boarding pass physically printed -- you have to pay £15. All checked baggage carries fees, though when I traveled I had just a carry on, so I can't quote the price for that. I thought airlines in the United States were bad, but Ryanair makes them appear luxurious by comparison. read more

Never ask how bad something can possibly be; you'll soon find out. So, my son and I booked 50 Euro tickets from Stansted to Rome Ciampino. Plus seat assignments, plus priority security and boarding, plus baggage fees ... the total came to about 110 Euro each. Still cheaper than the big airlines. Okay, we knew that - no problem. So, we got to the bus stop at Marble Arch at 4:30 in the morning (35 degrees Farenheit) to wait for the bus to take us to Stansted. Stupid Americans, we assumed that if we had booked the 5:25 AM bus, that it would be no problem to take the earlier one. Wrong. We spent an additional 30 frigid minutes in the middle of the night waiting for our bus. Stansted was an absolute ZOO! This is really what made flying Ryanair so miserable. I can't see how an airport like ATL or JFK can be so efficient and this place is not even managed chaos. Once through the HUGE Duty Free area and into the gate area, we were flabbergasted to find a MASS of humanity in the passageway headed to Gates 40-59. It was literally a traffic jam of people. Turns out the LONE escalator was out of service and 189 people per flight headed to 20 gates had to funnel UP a single stairway. (3780 people plus staff). WHO thought of this plan? No second escalator, no second stairway, nothing. I say, if there is a fire hazard (and there definitely was) the Airport Authority should close off that area until repairs can be made - because we all know that O'Leary and Ryanair don't give a sheet. I'll bet the airport's main tenant would then hurry to get things fixed (the only thing that speaks is money). Once on board, the flight was cramped ... but tolerable. I don't understand how keeping the seats from reclining saves money. I'd be more inclined to book again if I could have a MODICUM of comfort. I'd probably do another airline besides Ryanair (NOT Alitalia - they are WORSE) if I had the opportunity. read more

What can you say about Ryanair. Well a star for being cheap and flying from Stansted to Kraków and a star for priority boarding. That is the only good think I can off. The management of the queues is appalling. Everyone ignores the bag limits and the staff are 50/50 on doing anything. The seats are uncomfortable and they are constantly trying to sell food and gifts the whole flight. If you are travelling with someone it's a nightmare as everything is push and shove. Ryanair is crap but when it's the only choice I will use them. read more

Would never EVER use their service again. So after being locked out of their system to check in before the allotted time, once I got the airport and showed proof- after waiting and being shuffled from line to line- I was told to pay £50 per person (3) so they could let us board. I showed them proof of the issue, by then the gate had been locked so they offered to rebook me for the day after and pay £150pp (x3) to leave the day after. They rejected to reimburse me and rejected my dispute with Citi as well. read more

The single worst customer service I've ever experienced. Thank you for nothing Ryanair employees working the Customer Service desk in Stansted London during the afternoon on December 10th, 2018. As fist time Ryan Airlines I didn't expect much as they are a low cost airlines. I felt the flight attendants were very nice and the airplane was clean. One of the problems is we did not know about Ryan Air's unique baggage restrictions until they notified us by email during our trip. Upfront info would have been better. We managed and just checked an extra bag. It was very hard to fine a bag that would fit into the size Ryan Air requires. We finally googled it and found out that what they sent us was slightly smaller than what they allowed so we rolled the dice and made it. There were two problems that we felt they could very much so improve one. First is our American bank cards work on all other airlines but Ryan. They should let us know that ahead of time so we could have brought water on the flight. They wouldn't even offer us tap water after they told us our cards would not work. Secondly, the last minute email notice to have a paper copy of your boarding pass preprinted or pay 50 euros was ridiculous. Maybe advance notice before I was in a small town, at a hostel, in a foreign country, trying to figure out where and how to get one printed. Like I said everyone knows they are a low cost airline. Put these items up front, but we would fly them again. read more

Can't check in until the day before the flight unless I pay even more to their already expensive tickets. Avoid this company at all costs
I'm pretty sure everyone is aware that the only redeeming quality of this airline is its dirt cheap prices...and as a student, this is enough to keep me coming back. My most recent trip on this airline was from MAD-STN and my flight unfortunately was at 6:05am. I got to the airport two hours early, which is usually fine, but a bit of a mistake this early in the morning. Had to wait about 30 minutes for them to even open up the check in desks. I waited in line as I only had to do a visa-check and the man pointed over to an office in the corner and indicated that that was where I had to do my visa check. This was different that what I had experienced with RyanAir before, because they can usually do the visa check at the desk. Annoyingly the office was not even open yet so I had to wait another 15 minutes to wait for that, just to have her place one stamp on my boarding pass. I also painfully stood in line behind three teary-eyed younger girls who tried to check in on-line but ran into troubles, and were unaware of the consequences of not checking in and printing your boarding pass prior to their airport arrival, so they had to pay something probably upwards of 50 euros each. The attendant was stone-cold and showed no pity on these girls. The plane, obviously, was pretty terrible and the seats are extremely uncomfortable. The landing was terrifying...but we did make it to the airport safe and sound and I have little else to complain about. Just make sure you read their T&C and you should not run into any issues...besides a lack of sleep. read more

It is a budget airline, so I guess you get what you pay for, but you get treated like a budget customer. Print your own boarding pass, or they will charge you. You don't get a free checked bag, so make sure you pay for it at the same time you buy your ticket or they will charge you more! You don't get to pick your seat. The planes that I've flown on are two rows of the three seats. No food onboard included either, so bring snacks. What I really didn't like was the terminals that I had to wait in (I've taken two flights in the last 3 days). There were so many people that there wasn't always a place to sit and you feel crammed. Also, they don't tell you the gate you're supposed to go to until 40 minutes before the flight and they say they're going to close the gates 30 minutes before the flight. That doesn't make sense. Yes, it is inexpensive, but in my opinion it is also inconvenient. read more

Baggage Cost Scam!! I tried to add baggage on their website to complete my booking - 15kg was £15 and 25kg was £25. However, that section of their website wasn't working, so I went onto live chat and asked what I should do. I was told to make my booking then go back and amend to add baggage. When I did this the price had suddenly gone up to £20 and £30 respectively!!! Why isn't the baggage section of the website working when you make the booking to start with? Probably just a rip-off. When I tried to go back on live chat to question this, it said 'you are number 9 in the queue...wait time will be approx 4 minutes'. 48 minutes later and I'm still in the queue (behind 4 other weary souls), writing this review - grrrrrrr!! read more

I will begrudgingly give RyanAir 1 star because it was low cost, we didn't die, and it wasn't Spirit Airlines. However that's the only silver lining. Thankfully we weren't charged any excess fees but there is a FEE for E V E R Y T H I N G. Normally I'd fly British Air but these were the only flights that met our schedule. Both flights were late but never announced that they were going to be late, so upon arrival we had to rush and our schedules were significantly disrupted. One crew member struggled to close the door before takeoff so it's a miracle we weren't sucked into the cloudy abyss during our trip. There was excess miscommunication between the pilot and the cabin crew to the point that we were landing the cabin crew had no idea we were descending (are you trying to kill the crew mate?)! Just because you're low cost doesn't mean throw caution to the wind and consider your employees expendable. I will put in considerate effort to never fly RyanAir again...even if it was free and Idris Elba would be sitting next to me (he won't cuz he flies British Airways like any sentient human would). Learn from our mistake...pick another airline or just...walk. read more

First time and last time ever to travel with El Cheapo - scam the passenger airline. If you ever fly this airline - make sure you CHECK IN advance. I unfortunately tried twice however I was unable to due to their an issue with their website prior to my flight, I assumed I would just have to do it at the airport as you would any other carrier. I was able to check in for a fee of Seventy Pounds!!! I had no choice and had to pay the ransom as I could not drive to Norway from London! On the flight I was travelling with a friend but we booked separate and were not seated together, however I had an open row and my friend asked if she could move over to sit next to me as she was a few rows back, the response was NO as it was setup in a way that the seating was down due to weight distribution.....I did not realise they weigh you at check in, must have been when I was reaching for my wallet to pay for my boarding pass? The only thing missing from the Staff at Ryanair is a mask a gun as they are definitely out to Rob you and are not shy about it. By the time you pay the fees and deal with the rude staff and then cope with the stress it's well worth the difference to fly with a real carrier. I knew that Ryanair was a discount carrier but did not do my research deep enough to find out about the SCAM check in at the airport policy and the rudeness of their staff. At the end of the day I cost me more to fly with them and ruined my holiday to Norway - there's no need to treat your guests the way Ryanair does, they should be ashamed. read more

Using Ryanair web-site to purchase ticket from Copenhagen to Luton Airport was fairly easy. I was able to check-in and print my ticket a week prior to my departure. I would constantly weigh my luggage, for I didn't want to pay an extra fee when checking it in. Luckily no additional luggage fee was applied at check-in, I met the limit. Flight was on time. At the baggage claim in Luton Airport, certain conveyers (where the luggage are placed) weren't working. All the luggage from this flight happen to be placed on a conveyer that did work. It was there where I really noticed that Ryanair Staff were going out of their way to help everyone in my flight with their luggage. This was my first time "ever" flying with Ryanair and it was a pleasant experience. "Thank you" Ryanair! read more

We decided to take a 2 day birthday trip to Venice through Ryanair, only to to taxi out to the runway and have the airplane have a critical mechanical failure. The pilot said "don't worry folks, this will only take 30 minutes to fix." An hour later, still there. In fact, they deplaned us and the plane has been delayed by 8 hours, if takes off at all. Of course, this isn't entirely Ryanair's fault. What is their fault is that there isn't a single employee at this airport to talk to help us out. Not one. We decided to call them, but guess what. They charge money to call them as well. Now we will be missing our hotel reservation (£300). We have been waiting 8 hours for a flight that may not even happen. We even offered to drive to a new airport to catch a different flight, but they won't cover that because "this flight will probably take off eventually." Luckily, they sent us meal recuperation costs for the delay for a whopping amount of £3.50, not even enough for a meal deal here. We had minor problems with our boarding passes as well as swat reservations. This airline, it's operation and lack of customer service and the way it sucks money from you at every turn is an absolute joke. read more

I forgot to print my boarding card, so had to pay $120 (three times the air fare) more as punishment. Not because it caused an administrative difficulty, but presumably because the airline makes money that way. That is low. Shame on them! read more

Where do I begin? As a US resident, our airlines distinguish between AM vs. PM for all flight schedules, including those that start with a zero in front. Stupid Americano that I am, I chose 0635 for a flight to Pisa. When I get to airport after flying overnight from California around 3 PM, I'm told I missed the morning flight. Then Miss Fab told me the 7PM flight was completely booked--no standby's allowed (where is that in their dictionary of terms?). Then she tells me there are no flights to Italy for two days! I'm stunned. No offer to help whatsoever. My son and I wander the airport looking for alternative flights, to no avail. Called a relative in CA to try and make a reservation at Heathrow for the next day; 4/2. Reservation comes out 4/22-more headache! (BA refunded my money!) Finally went back to line and a different rep, Fiona said there was a flight the next day, only it would cost $300 for a Missed Flight Fee. All told this cost me over $700.00. I have NEVER had this kind of crap with any airline in my life. Ryanair Sucks Big Time. read more

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Ryanair. Due to a sudden and tragic loss in my family, I was unable to take my scheduled flights. My daughter's mother passed away on the morning of my departure, and naturally, my priorities shifted to being with my daughter during this devastating time. I reached out to Ryanair's customer service, explaining the situation. What I received in response was nothing short of shocking. Instead of a compassionate reply, I was sent a generic, impersonal message that made no acknowledgment of the tragic circumstances I was dealing with. It felt as though I was brushed aside, with links to various automated forms and standard procedures that didn't even remotely address my situation. What was even more disheartening was the follow-up response after I expressed my disappointment. Rather than offering any meaningful assistance or showing even the slightest empathy, Ryanair simply reiterated their generic advice and, to my utter disbelief, closed my case without any resolution. It was a stark reminder of how some companies prioritise process over people. I understand that airlines handle a high volume of inquiries, but situations involving personal loss should be met with sensitivity and care. Unfortunately, Ryanair's response was cold, dismissive, and entirely inadequate, leaving me extremely disappointed and frustrated during an already difficult time. If you're considering booking with Ryanair, I strongly urge you to think twice. My experience has shown me that in times of need, you might not receive the support or understanding you'd expect from a company that claims to care about its customers. read more

Dear Airlines, Parents, and Teachers, Throughout the year, we all work hard and experience the hustle and bustle of school life. Thanks to half-term breaks, families--parents, teachers, and kids--get the wonderful opportunity to travel and discover other parts of the world. Unfortunately, current scheduling challenges during half-term make it difficult for many to plan trips. As a parent, I understand that some families travel regardless of high prices, but it's disheartening to see others who cannot afford to do so. Many parents feel compelled to leave the country at any cost to provide enriching experiences for their kids, but they often face financial discomfort afterwards. It's time for parents, teachers, and kids to come together in a campaign urging airlines to find affordable solutions for family travel during half-term breaks. This message aims to spread awareness and call for action so that we can all travel more often with our little ones, who are full of life and curiosity. Sincerely, Sam read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. DO NOT FLY RYANAIR!!!!! Save yourself the nightmare i am in. I showed up at the airport, went through security, had to wait until 30 min before the flight for them to finally display the gate #, wait in the security line at the gate then 10 minutes before the flight leaves i was told i need a little tiny visa stamp at the front desk back at the beginning. I didn't go to the desk because Ryanair charges $50 to print your boarding pass for you and they charge $100 to check a bag. So like a fool i printed my boarding pass at the hotel and found no need to go to baggage check. They setup the perfect scam. Now i have to wait 8 hours for the next flight and had to pay $300!!! read more

Ryanair offers budget-friendly flights across Europe, making it a popular choice for travelers on a tight budget. The airline's low-cost model comes with trade-offs like limited legroom, extra fees for luggage, and no free in-flight meals. However, the flights are often punctual, and with the right planning, travelers can score excellent deals. Customer service experiences are mixed, with some praising the efficiency, while others report issues with delays or refunds. For inquiries or booking assistance, contact Ryanair's customer service at +1 (808) 751-2262 or +44 (20) 39003009. Ideal for budget-conscious travelers seeking affordable travel options. read more

THE WORST COMPANY ON EARTH. This airline is not SECURE. They charge for everything. My son was traveling from the USA to Europe. He needed to Fly from Charleroi (Belgium) to Barcelona. He had no access to printer and he was charged 70 Euros because he did not print his ticket online!. This should be illegal (they do not have anything for you to print your ticket !!!!!!!!!!) Unbelievable, this behavior is a typical for this "airline". The STEAL from you whatever they can ..think about the SECURITY !. Save your trip and life, stay away from this cheap, crooks and insecure "airline". read more

Very poor customer service, the staff was pretty nice but they didn't seem very knowledgable. We ended up missing our flight even though we were there an hour and forty-five minutes early partially because the fire alarm was pulled which obviously isn't their fault but once things were settled we got bumped around to every single desk and ended up waiting in several lines just to be told we never had to wait in the first place. Definitely won't be using them again. read more

I was on the flight to London when a fat, racist white man loudly objected to being seated next to an elderly black woman and the airline let him stay in his seat after making her so frightened SHE changed seats. He got away with it. Astonishing. Horrible, disgusting way to handle the situation. He should have been removed from the plane. I'll never fly Ryanair again. read more

Ryanair failed to contract ground service for our flight from Berlin to Stansted, keeping us on the plane for an additional 35 minutes, plus took 1 1/2 hours to get our luggage and causing us to miss our connection! When we approached "Customer Service'" they charged us an additional $135 to get us on another flight. Not worth saving a few bucks! read more

Ryanair is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They get terrible public ratings year after year, and for good reason. You may lose money with Ryanair since they are known for hidden fees and dodgy practices. I do not know why Ireland does not regulate them more. Find another airline ASAP. I beg you to avoid this airline. read more
