Review #493…read more Saturday 8-31-2024 Oh My Smaczne = Delicious in Polish Of Course! What took Me so long to write a Review for this well-known and Local Family Business with Butcher Quality Meats that I shop at so frequently plus back in March of 2021. (SEE My Past Yummy Photos of Cooked Meats and Pierogies!) The store is always organized, clean and stocked well with hundreds of items to shop for The smells of hot food cooking to buy for lunch or dinner TO GO is Yummy Fantastic when local residents stop in for Carry-Out. When I'm craving and in the mood to cook Polish recipes from My Parents, I enjoy shopping in this Traditional Polish and European Food Store. Founded in the early nineties, with a market in Hamtramck already this Sterling Heights location has been my go to being a Polish Princess Queen Of Cooking thanks to My parents and My 200% heritage. All the photos attached will show the many areas of this store with quality meats, breads, hot foods to go, produce, imports, lunchmeats, many canned goods, jars of flavors, frozen or fresh pierogies, kielbasa, There's a large selection of Polish candies and sweets too. Chill Out and Walk in their Deep Freezer Area to buy their monthly priced custom Meat Bundle Packages or chilled meats in smaller packages to go. Oh Yes I have enjoyed them especially the one with extra chicken and ribs and a FREE 10# Bag of Potatoes which compliments a few dinner meals. They advertise in the Macomb Daily with meat specials and bundles for 2 weeks with sale prices in effect. Check out this weeks till Sept. 7th. Bozek's Market is located on Van Dyke Ave and 19 Mile Rd. in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Hours: Monday through Saturday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sunday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Note parking is in back and so is the entrance door to their store. Phone: (586) 991-0135 if you need to check on a special item or place your order ahead for a Bozek's Bundle too. I don't speak Polish but the several hard working family and friends certainly do here, especially when happy local shoppers come in to chat. :-) If you can't make the drive to Hamtramck to shop for their many favorite POLISH DELIGHTS, then shop here in Sterling Heights for your recipe ingredients. I certainly do when I make and cook My Many Polish Traditional and Smaczne Meals! Thank You Bozek's Market for helping my culture, cravings and My Polish Personality Cooking at Home! May All Viewers Enjoy My Meat purchases with preparation and SpecialK Cooking in Macomb Page of Smaczne Meals! Sincerely, Na Zdrowie, Dzien Dobry To All! Karen N. Walked down a couple aisles thought "yep", this is the same place! It is so neat and well, organized; absolutely phenomenal! Had my arms full, turned towards the register. An absolutely beautiful young woman, Vivian, said she'd get me a cart, and verified they had done a complete makeover 3 years earlier. I must have been in there for at least 45 minutes. Staff were busy behind the counters and in the aisles. Everyone acknowledged my presence and offered their help. I scored BIGLY! The Musakhan* (chicken with sumac) didn't make it out of the parking lot. It was deeelish. That was a new dish for me. Yum... *I think

Having said that, Kielbasa at most of these businesses is far superior to the crap, I'm sorry "stuff" you buy in your local grocery stores where Srodeks is idefinately in the upper tier of these better businesses. The Sausage from here is always fresh and oh so tasty. Aside from the sausage you will find a wide variety of other Polish foods to select from to include a wide selection of lunchmeat, Pierogi, breads, pastries/cookies, jarred/pickled vegetables, Jams, syrups, honey, cheeses and the list goes on and on. The business is a fairly decent trek for me coming from West Bloomfield but is worth the trip based on the variety and quality of what this business has to offer. If you're a fan of excellent smoked sausage and/or Polish food than this is a must visit for you f you are in the greater Sterling Heights area.

They primarily specialize in Iraqi/Middle Eastern grocery items. Think hummus, rice, olive oil, pita, etc but also have a cooked food counter which also looked yummy. The meat counter was not well labeled besides prices and presentation was not amazing (lots of meat still on their vacuum sealed packaging). However, I bought some Ribeyes for $6.89/lb as of 12/13/23, which is a tremendous value. I cooked them up for dinner last night and they were good. Not the best steak I've ever had but good quality for the price. I also bought 80/20 ground beef for $3.29/lb which is a steal. I wasn't planning on buying flatbread but when I saw it coming out of the oven, I had to get some! I would buy the bread again. The produce had some deals sprinkled in but the quality of the produce was mediocre. Come here for the meat and bread, and go to a produce market for your main produce. The butcher and lady at the checkout were pleasant. If I was in the area, I would come here again.
