I was taken to my exam room straight away for my 08:00 appointment. The exam room seat and hardware waiting for me, was somewhat old fashioned, immediately refreshing my childhood memories of my previous dental office visits from long ago ... especially the X- Ray process ( which came a little later ). Dr. Zussman was most kind, as he introduced himself and promptly examined me, while observing my current x-rays which were quickly transferred from my Primary Care Dentist's office. He proceeded to take just a few more to assist and confirm his initial opinion. He then promptly established a conversation regarding my treatment and further x- ray analysis. During our conversation, he carefully explained my options of available treatment clearly and concisely, which was most appreciated. His candor was quite refreshing as he offered his conservative approach to my treatment options. We agreed, shook hands again, then he left the exam room to take care of the paperwork. The pricing kept fluctuating and when I requested for a specific portion of the procedure to be billed to insurance, as had been done successfully prior, they pushed back and had all sorts of excuses. I gave up and then paid my balance IN FULL as presented to me for the prescribed service leaving me with a zero balance. As a note, the services I went in for did not change at any time - I received exactly what was initially discussed and it did not change at any time. I again asked about billing a portion of the service to insurance as it had been previously covered and they finally agreed to do so. And guess what? A balance magically appeared on my account for the amount they were going to bill even though I had already paid the balance IN FULL. So, they collected from the insurance company after I had already paid the bill. When I questioned them on it, they treated me like a moron, talked down to me and enunciated how "prices are subject to change" even though the services I was receiving hadn't changed and I had already paid in full. They got an attitude and the X-ray tech was exceptionally rough on me. When I pulled back because she was hurting me, she admonished me to "stay still" in an angry tone like I was an uncooperative child. The best part? The entire staff refused to even acknowledge or say goodbye to me when I left the office. They all saw me and turned away, all because I had questioned their corrupt billing practices. This was after I spent more than three thousand dollars with them. I have had many procedures over the years and have never experienced anything like this. If you enjoy getting manhandled, ripped off and treated poorly this is the place to go.
