During the afternoon while we were getting ready, Jen encouraged conversation with one of my friends about negative experiences with other wedding vendors. This felt inappropriate and unprofessional, especially during what should have been a positive and focused part of our wedding day. A few months after the wedding, I had sent the first and only message with concerns and recieved a sizeable email from Jen that we felt lacked accountability and any sort of remorse. We have received and downloaded our gallery, but there are many photos that aren't usable and moments that can't be redone. We would like to acknowledge like Jen's parter Nick was professional and respectful. We have no issues with how he conducted himself. Based on our experience, we do not recommend booking Pulse Pro Inc without very clear expectations around professionalism and respectful communication.

We did an engagement shoot with Curtis as well, which was a really fun way to get to know him, and also for my husband and I to get comfortable with having our photo taken. I am beyond thrilled with how our photos turned out, and planning out our day with Curtis was a breeze. We met a week beforehand and planned out the day and a shot list (including a good weather and rainy weather shoot locations), and I was completely at ease with Curtis whenever he was shooting us. He was never intrusive at our wedding, but managed to capture all the moments perfectly, and his experience showed at many instances - I really appreciated guidance on how to toss my bouquet for a perfect shot, and having someone else guide the photo taking and help pose us. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Between showing up to view my photos and Jim…read morenot being there, to the multiple attempts to contact him, it's literally been one of the worst experiences of my life. Once I finally got in touch with him and went to view my photos, he locked me in his office and made me feel very uncomfortable. He pressured me to pay an absurd amount, which sadly I did because I felt I had no other option. I tried to cancel my order(within 48 hours of the appointment) and asked for a refund, but of course, he never returns his messages. By the time he messaged me back, over a week later, he said it was too late and my order had already been sent to be printed. I was told the edits would be sent to me for approval before printing, and they never were. He claims he sent my photos to another country for printing because no lab in Canada meets his standards.... ya, okay?! I asked for proof that they were sent to another country and of course, nothing has been provided. If you are looking for someone professional, this is not it!

Their setup was professional, but they were also very personable and friendly with the guests as they arrived. I had been part of other weddings where the photographer did not handle big groups well and I felt that Kelly's own ability to manage may have been a good indicator of his experience and expertise. Now, having gone through my own wedding with him as my photographer I was definitely not disappointed. Throughout our entire experience with Kelly we were impressed with his professionalism, attentiveness, but especially his friendliness. I feel like his photo style reflects a bit about what you can expect when you work with Kelly - relaxed and easy-going yet detailed and professional. His pictures are the perfect touch of candidness and in the moment yet beautifully composed. He gave really good instructions for us modelling newbies which was another concern of mine. But luckily, he knew how to explain poses well and how to direct us and the bridal party. Another thing that I loved about Kelly is that he was willing to take into account the bridal party suggestions and the personality of the bride and groom. I was part of a wedding where the photographer militarily stuck to their planned poses and rejected most suggestions from the bridal party. The photos did not capture the heart of the bride and groom or the bridal party. My friends were incredibly disappointed in that experience. So make sure you find a photographer that you jive with! I also highly recommend spending the extra to do a day-after or engagement shoot with him. We loved our day after pictures and he came up with such brilliant ideas for them. You get more time with Kelly in your respective wedding outfits so the poses and shots get to be more creative. It is wicked fun. Of course he is a bit on the medium-high price range for Edmonton wedding photographers. But for my husband and I that was one area we felt it was okay to spend extra on while cutting costs in other less important areas. The wedding day goes by so fast that many of our friends and family said photography is one of the most important parts of your wedding planning as they will be the ones capturing the memories. We now have photos that we love showing off and getting prints of.
