He responded to my call rapidly and scheduled a call at my convenience. He gave warning when he left to come for the appt. Right on time. He requested information when I first called and did the research for possible causes of my issues. At my place he did a thorough examination of the equipments and did a thorough explanation of the defects of my motor and spring tension as well as parts damaged in the motor. He discussed choices for temporary fix vs a permanent solution to the issues. I was to make the choice best for me. When I decided on a choice he followed through and did everything perfectly. Without any prior indication of a problem developing, our automatic garage door opener suddenly would not open our garage door more than about 18 inches. Naturally, this happened at a time that was most inconvenient as we had doctor appointments and travel plans. I phoned Rx Garage Doors because of the positive reviews I saw on Yelp, and Mike answered my call while on a service visit to another home. He said that he could come to our house within the next 2 hours to assess the problem. Mike stayed in touch to keep me updated on his arrival, and when he got to our house, he quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken spring. He offered to order a replacement of the same spring system that had come with our house, but cautioned me that this particular type has a relatively short anticipated working life. The alternative was for him to convert our existing garage door spring system to one using a larger spring that is more reliable, has a longer anticipated working life, AND has the advantage of being less expensive. We opted for the conversion, and upon learning that we were due to travel out of town 2 days later, Mike offered to come back and install the new system later that day if we were willing to wait until the end of the day. Of course, we agreed. As promised, Mike returned late in the afternoon with his son Jake, and they worked efficiently to remove our old garage door spring system and install the new system. Throughout the process, both Mike and Jake were friendly, helpful, and professional. When they finished the conversion, they cleaned up after themselves and removed the old garage door spring system for disposal. Our garage door wouldn't open (basically because even though the motor is only 2 years old its the basic builders model cheapo version.) We called Rx based on yelp reviews. Best decision ever. Mike is truly the real deal. Not only is his knowledge and workmanship outstanding, his customer service skills are amazing!! Mike came out and replaced the springs on my garage door that had been there for almost 30 years. His price was way less than I had gotten for other estimates and he was quick to respond and showed up as promised. Several months later I called Mike as my door was sticking as it opened and asked if he could check it out. He stopped by a couple of days later and before even seeing it he said he knew what it was and went right to the problem. It had nothing to do with his prior installation, and was sticking to the weatherstripping whenever the temps got above 90 and it heated up. A couple sprays of a lubricant and I was good to go!! Plus, he gave me instructions of how to replace the weatherstripping myself when I had time available. What was even better he would not accept another payment, even though I knew it was a different problem!!! Couldn't get to work because I was impatient and didn't wait for the garage door to open all the way and it got stuck on the cars roof rack called Mike he showed up in 10 minutes got the car out but I bend 1 of the door panels he straightened it and said have a better day. No charge I was like what? I'm keeping his contact. Months later the springs break Mike comes out gives me a couple of options just replace the springs or replace all hardware, door, springs, tracks, etc. The door is 20 years old and I have had it repaired several times I choose to replace everything.
