I only asked for 2yds but I'm sure he loaded me up more. He was a really nice guy. I'll only go here from now on because of this experience. Between the pandemic and staff changes, we had no clue the last time the gutters had been cleaned. Some of them were even coming off the roof! Plus, with all the rain we've had, the gutters were literally taking a beating this summer and needed attention. After getting several estimates, C&G gave us an awesome quote and came out in person to check out our building. While it's not a tremendously huge building in comparison to some others in the area, it was still going to be a lot of work due to the amount of debris that we had going on there. Two really nice guys showed up and not only did the entire building in two hours, but tacked back up the gutters that were falling off the side of the building as well. They also cleaned up their mess and hauled it away from all the stuff that got blown out. They also showed us other repairs that may need to get done in the future to keep the roof and building in good shape. Overall, these guys do really good work at a very fair price. They failed to complete the job, leaving parts of our home exposed to the weather for two full months. We hired Clarkston Roofing to re-roof our home and install aluminum siding on 10 windows. The salesperson recommended adding five roof vents ("roof cans"), which we agreed to. When the crew completed the roofing, I noticed they hadn't installed the extra vents. Only after I pointed it out did they correct the oversight. That alone raised red flags about their attention to detail. The real trouble started with the aluminum window siding. When I showed Tony how poorly it was done, he admitted it wasn't up to his standard and promised to "get his best siding guy on it." That was on May 12th. It's now July 12th--two months later--and no one has returned to complete the work. Meanwhile, our windows remain exposed. I had to repeatedly call Tony week after week, only to hear excuses like, "He's on a big job, he'll be there next week." Every promise turned out to be empty. The lack of follow-through and professionalism has been appalling. I paid in full the roofing portion, in cash, trusting that they would honor the agreement and deliver the rest of the work on our signed purchase order agreement. I didn't haggle or delay payment, trying to support the crew and show good faith. That was a big mistake--they took the money and never came back. Be ready to be the customer and a foreman. When you talk to them, they'll promise the moon, and then do nothing, not write it down, communicate to the workers, show up, etc. Scheduling was a bit of a nightmare- and I got that there was a lot of rain this summer- but communication stunk. The end product looks nice (which solely goes to the workers), it's just the slab doesn't match what was contracted for. If you use them, expect to be there the whole time holding their hand. Most frustrating contracting experience I've had in a long time. Oh, and if you try to discuss it with the owner, he'll tell you, "well, we get good reviews" and won't try and fix anything. So here you go...
