Dr. Boykin treated my Mom with extreme care, focus, professionalism, thought, diligence and excellent skill from her first appointment, to the surgery and through each of her post op visits. He is attentive, thorough, sincere, supportive and detail oriented. He is a great listener, observant and was cautious with every aspect of my Mom's health and well being. He was kind, helpful and engaged with our family and motivated to utilize all of the latest technology at his fingertips give my Mom the greatest outcome he could. He even came in to check on my Mom post surgery during her hospital stay on his day off, which meant the world to us and spoke volumes of his character and commitment as a physician. He and his PA, Chris, were positive and encouraging for my mother during the post operative process and really built a relationship with her, giving each of her concerns thoughtful care and staying committed to her at each step. But, yet I kept being told that my hips weren't bad enough for surgery. I switched to S.E. Sports Medicine and was immediately diagnosed with Trendelenburg Gait, meaning my glueteus medius and gluteus minimus tendons were ripped and torn from the bone. After an MRI which clearly verified my condition, Dr. Matthew Wham said that he could repair this. Because of my age, he couldn't be sure of the damage and atrophy until he got into the surgery, but he was hopeful. The surgery went VERY well! The 8 inch incision with 20 or more staples hardly hurt at all, and I am a real pain wuss. In 3 days I was up and using a walker, and I am in a brace from my hip to my knee for 2months, but I can tell that my previous constant pain down my right hip and leg is gone. Dr. Wham is amazing, and I would advise you to goggle him for his specialties and se if he can change your life, too!

Began at spartanburg regional ED was given an x-ray then PA said no broken bones and gave a referral to orthopedic surgeon ( WHO WAS A HAND SPECIALIST NOT A KNEE SURGEON. Spent two days calling said orthopedic and a different orthopedic surgeon who specializes in knees. Then go to CONA Carolina Orthopedic Surgeons emergency clinic on Saturday to be rudely told by another PA that he would refer me for an MRI and then after that schedule to see a sports medicine doctor. He would call in a anti inflammatory. Office closed at 1pm and 3 hours later no prescription called in. This PA suggested going to another ER. NO I AM NOT A PILL SEEKER AND I WILL NOT BE LABELED AS ONE BY HAVING MULTIPLE MEDICAL RECORDS OF ME GOING FROM PLACE TO PLACE AS IF I WERE PILL SEEKING. PERIOD.​

He introduced himself and explained what my x-rays revealed. He then said he was glad I came in and proceeded to talk about pain management options. I chose to have knee surgery, at which time he cited his availability to do my surgery. My surgery went well and so did my follow up appointments. During one of my appointments, I asked for additional physical therapy to help increase my knee bend. One year later, and with the extra physical therapy, I feel good and have returned to many of my normal activities. My experience with Dr. Zlotnicki was very positive.

Dr…read more Hall ignored the reports from physical therapy stating I was not progressing as I should; stating they were "hitting a hard stop." By ignoring the reports from PT the opportunity for a manipulation was lost. Went and saw surgeon at Wake Forest today to learn there is no hope of improvement. Prior to surgery I was on 1 medication since surgery l am on muscle relaxers and pain meds for constant pain and spasms, 2 antidepressants, medication for sleep and medication for an ulcer due to all the NSAIDS and other meds. Worst decision of my life. Crippled at 54!
