A friend told me yesterday he's going to perform here with his band soon, can't wait to see that. Definitely visit if you live close. "Beer! Because no great story started with someone eating salad" - they say. Cheers!

He and his daughters run the restaurant with a few close coworkers who may as well be family, and their service is as good as the food. And the prices are fantastic at 6 euro for a plate of boquerones and 3 euro for the patatas bravas. But by far our favorite is the made to order paella mixto. Jorge puts love into his cooking, and this, and his fresh seafood and vegetables, keep us coming. Ack year after year. It is always our first meal when we reach torrevieja, our home away from home.

You can see the tapas displayed on the counter by the bar as is usual with Spanish tapas bars. All very tasty, especially the Russian Salad, a potato salad with tuna spread on to fresh crusty bread. The mussels are pickled and comes on a bed of potato crisps. It is an acquired taste! Some of the tapas we wanted to try were not available, so cannot comment on them. The seating area on the terrace provides quite a buzzy atmosphere on a warm evening. Get a bowl of nuts, chip peas and beans too, which goes down well with a glass of lager, while chatting or watching the football.
