They are very thorough in looking through your items, and do not take things with stains, etc-which is great for the buyers! My first visit I found a fabulous pair of Rock and Republic skinnies and a Vince blouse amongst all the great stuff while my items were being scoped out. They send the checks out of state to me at my permanent residence, and when I misplaced two, I called and they actually were kind enough to go through, figure out which ones had not been cashed, and send out some more! That is amazing service. My things all sold for decent money, and as a buyer and consignor I would say its a great deal for everyone involved. :)

A tall thin lady made it clear she thought we were thieves - we were literally concerned for her…read morewellbeing, because she behaved so badly. She was so intrusive she stayed between me and my daughter! I finally stopped shopping and sat on a bench to try to calm her down, waiting while my daughter finished trying on her clothes. She kept rushing into the dressing room, obviously she was accusing us of shoplifting. I was so disappointed because my daughter was visiting from another state and it highly upset her (for hours). It was dispicable behavior for such a seemingly nice location. Get cameras if you need them, or sell the business if you are that anxious; but please don't behave in this completely unhinged aggressive way toward people who simply don't look like you. I can only hope this isn't the owner...

If you're down to scrounge, this place might be for you (I'd just urge you to wash your hands after). That said, I specifically went here today because I needed a stapler. Mine went missing when I moved (probably in some box I've yet to unpack in my storage unit), and there's zero need to purchase a brand new stapler when I know I can get an old reliable Swingline from a thrift place like this (plus, I remembered on my first amble through here that they had a whole basket of staplers). Sure enough, I was able to acquire a stapler. But you can bet your ass that I brought along some staples to test out said staplers... the first one I picked up had a busted spring, but the second was fully functional. Both had been priced at $3. I mention this simply as a word of warning to consider testing before you buy.) I also picked up a bobbin thread case and a quart sized bag of crayons (both priced at $3) while I was there. This place is good for finding the kind of craft stuff your granny would keep around at a low price. And honestly, you're doing the environment a BIG favor to snag this kind of thing off a thrift store shelf rather than "convenience buy" it off Amazon or whatever. You can save money and feel good about yourself. The rest of the store has stuff like glassware, clothing, kids stuff, and holiday decor. It's not all amazing stuff. I reckon a lot of folks donate stuff they don't care to sort through when an elderly parent finally kicks it. The employee behind the checkout counter was a little slow to bother acknowledging me, but once we were interacting, they were friendly enough and wished me a good day; seemed like they were happy I actually bought something instead of just browsing.

If not, you can find them by the registers. They're for tagging larger items you want to buy. You put the sticker on, and take it's product/price tag to the cashier for check-out. -the store is packed with items and people, which makes moving around not so easy. I don't think it's ideal for walkers, wheelchairs, or strollers. If you have mobility challenges, navigating may be tough. -some items don't have a price tag, like the pillow I bought. I asked the cashier how the price is determined, and was advised they assign what they think is a fair price at check-out. My pillow was valued at $4. -i got there at 10:07am, 7 mins after they opened and there were people everywhere. That said, if you're a serious shopper arrive early to see the goods before the super-early birds snatch it all up. -again, it's filled with stuff; mainly furniture, home decor, dinnerware, kitchen goods, some shoes, books, and I even saw cute scarves and bags. It didn't seem like a destination for clothes. Now that I'v summed that up, I do believe it's a nice option for thrifting and would definitely recommend it.

Was waiting for a shop around the corner to open and had twenty minutes to kill. Spotted this place…read morebecause of the bright neon outside the entrance, luring you in. I've got antique store in my blood (legitimately, not a turn of phrase: my paternal grandma used to own one), so I'm drawn to this kind of place, especially as thrifting/buying used is more environmentally-friendly (and we as a society desperately need to shift gears away from fast fashion). Immediately upon entry I glimpsed the signs that this place was inclusive of me and those like me. The pride flag, the genderless toilets marked humorously with "whatever" signs. I was drawn in. You can tell that a lot of the consignment owners put a good deal of effort into making each of their "cubicles" stand out and have individuality that matches their brand. Seeing as I was here at the tail end of September, that meant many of the booths were spooky-themed and/or had Halloween items for sale. Dangerous for anyone who's a fan of the holiday. I definitely plan to come back AFTER Halloween and see what Christmas decorations take their place! It'll probably feel like an entirely different experience dependent on the season! Anyway, the cool thing about a place like this (if you've never been to one) is that you don't have to worry about keeping track of which store you picked up what item from. They have tags on each item so the employee at the checkout counter can sort all that for you and collect a single amount from you to distribute appropriately among their consignment sellers. I noticed they have baskets you can grab to help you shop (also dangerous, lol) because this place is QUITE expansive and winding. Be sure to check around each nook and cranny to see it all! (But also keep in mind, stock will always be rotating, so there'll always be new things to see.) There's lots of clothes and apparel accessories, of course, but also lots of home decor items, media like books, CDs, VHS, records, etc., toys and more. Really you gotta go see it for yourself. You'll be wandering about in something akin to awe! I would say the prices are okay. This isn't a place you're going to find big bargains. But you won't get gouged either. It's a place to discover something from your childhood and reclaim it for a reasonable finder's fee, essentially. Long story short, I killed more than forty-five minutes here, well over what I needed, hahaha, and came out with a couple cute clown-themed things to add to my growing collection. Hooray! Also neat is that they have a coffee shop in the back that also serves things like pastries and sodas for a very reasonable price. This area is spacious with lots of seating; clearly it's meant as a place to gather and hangout with friends. They even had an NES set up on a TV to play if you wanted. Very queer-friendly. Worth the stop - 4 stars…read more Pine Creek is an antique store right on the main drag in the old town part of North Branch. It's a lot bigger than it looks like on the outside. The whole thing is shaped like a giant "L" and it actually has 2 separate entrances. This is a traditional mall type antique store with multiple vendors. The store also has quite a few "house" items that are owned by the store. The reason I know this is because the item I picked wasn't marked and they happened to mention that it's a house piece when they were trying to figure out the price. The shop is well organized, clean, and displayed nicely. The prices all seem super reasonable. And the staff members are nice people. I had a pleasant chat with the owners about the long history of the building...very interesting. One of the main things I like about this place is it actually has antiques! There are very few new items. By far, nearly everything is what I'd consider antique or vintage. One notable exception is a vendor that seems to be preoccupied with Christmas items, most of which looked like modern products. Not my thing but I suppose there are people that dig this. This has been the third one I've been to, and each one always has something very unique that I like and want to buy. It's always changing so if I wait a few months I can see everything different! And seasoned-themed as well. I for sure want to go to one of the stores to get a couch in the future. I don't know how I'll get it out of the store, however. I found a book and some stick on nails I waited in line for and knew the cashier was not selling items that didn't have tags (there's a sign up front that says this policy too). However I thought all books were a set price and didn't worry until it was my turn and she asked if the book had a tag. I said no and told her where I found the book on the shelf. She said she can't sell it without a tag and just stared at me as if she was waiting for me to either put up a stink or ask more. I just said well I guess I can't buy it then? She set it aside. I did ask if she could just price it or get a manager and she said she was a manager and left it at that. Why was it on the sales floor then without a sticker if you have this policy? She said it would be out on the floor in the next day or so after getting a price. I stopped by later in the week after that to see if I could find the book again but I sadly couldn't find it, I got some other items instead and the gentlemen this time was super friendly and was astounded at hearing about my previous visit. If I knew about their policy beforehand I would have just taken a sticker off one item and put it on the book...I won't stop here again as it's out of the way.

Goodwill is expensive too now, but at least video games and DVDs have a set price. I just walked out after they wanted $14 for donated DVDs. Unthinkably high price.
