I don't frequent Rustan's Department Store in Shangri-La Plaza mainly because I live in Makati. Besides, before their renovation, I feel the layout of the store was confusing and the aisles were narrow. But now that it has undergone a major transformation, the superstore became more inviting and a lot brighter. I like their tall glass doors because they exude a more luxurious feel.
Rustan's in Shangri-la has four levels. The first one, just like in Makati, is dedicated to cosmetics, beauty products, and outlets of high-end brands like Loewe, Long Champ, Cartier, and Alfred Dunhill.
On the second level are shops that sell women's bags, accessories, clothes, and jewelry. This is where I usually leave my mom and my wife and head to East, a modern Asian restaurant, to have a cup of coffee.
Meanwhile, the third floor is divided into the children's section and home department. I don't really think it's a good idea to put these two sections in one floor as kids might venture to the home department and risk breaking ultra-expensive vases and Lladro figurines.
The fourth level, dedicated to men's section and lifestyle, is my favorite for obvious reasons. read more
