I was one of her original clients, and I came to her chair with a botched balayage. She has really transformed my hair over the years. Even living in a different state now, I will never see another stylists without texting her to make sure she approves the work they do. I trust her with anything. I never needed a hair trial for the wedding because I knew she would make me look great. I didn't even have an exact hair inspiration picture, but she always gets exactly what I'm going for. Even after she did my hair last weekend, she asked me if I wanted to check the back and I said "no because I know it's fine!" because I trust her with everything. She also did my hair for Friday's rehearsal, and I felt like a mermaid! She may be quiet, but don't let this fool you. Morgan is one of the most humble/hard working/sweetest/talented stylists I know, and she knows what she is doing!! I have loved watching her grow (& her 3 babies grow up) over all these years. I arrived right on time for my appointment (this place is a little tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area so plan ahead). The receptionist was very pleasant - she quickly checked me in and asked me to wait for my scheduled stylist. After waiting for about 10 minutes upfront it became obvious that something was wrong. That's when Chuck came to the rescue - apparently the stylist I was scheduled with had an emergency and would not be able to see me. Chuck was my replacement stylist, but he was more of a savior than a replacement. I have a lot of really long, thin hair - which can be a nightmare work with in general, but it is especially terrible if you aren't expecting to deal with it. But Chuck never let on that my crazy mane was causing any problems with his schedule. Thanks to Chuck hair color went from blah brown with neglected highlights to a warm shade of brown with carmel highlights and my hair cut was exactly what I wanted - it may not have been a 'cutting edge style' but its what I requested and he cut perfectly. And not only did I leave with a hair cut and color that I loved, he was also sweet enough to fill me in on great local restaurants, bars and other fun things to do. Like I said - I'm new to the area and this added bit of info was such a great addition to a fabulous appointment. I also have to give a shout out to Kirsten R. She stepped in and helped out when my color/cut process time ran over into another one of Chuck's appointments. Its really refreshing to see two stylist work together to help each other and to make sure the client is taken care of. Turns out that I forgot to use my Groupon after all - which is perfectly fine with me because I plan on making Beaux Cheveux my go to salon in Evansville.

I had my hair colored here a few weeks ago, and while the salon itself was nice and the appointment…read morewas pleasant, I left extremely disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding pricing. The biggest issue was being charged $120 for toner, three separate toner charges at $40 each. At no point before or during my appointment was I told that three different toners would be used, that toner would be charged separately, or that an additional $120 would be added to my bill. What made the situation even more frustrating was that I didn't learn about the three different toner formulas being used until after the service was finished. When my stylist was discussing retail products and attempting to sell me additional items for home use, I declined. It was during that conversation, while preparing my receipt, that she informed me she had used three different toners to achieve the final result. The decision to use three different toner formulas was never discussed with me beforehand. My stylist may have felt they were necessary to achieve the desired color, but that was a creative choice made during the service. If those choices are going to increase the cost of an appointment by more than $100, clients should be informed before the products are applied--not after the service is complete and payment is due. I have medium-length, very fine hair and have had my hair professionally colored for years. I've never had a stylist add three separate toner charges without discussing them first. Whether one toner or three toners were actually used is less important than the fact that the charges were never disclosed. Based on the salon's advertised pricing, I expected my appointment to be under $200. Instead, my total came to around $300. Learning about an extra $120 charge only after declining additional retail products made the whole situation feel like a cash grab and left me feeling blindsided. Had the costs been explained upfront, I could have made an informed decision about how I wanted to proceed. The service itself was fine, the color for the most part, resembled the inspiration, but transparency matters. I don't mind paying for quality work, but I do expect to be told when a stylist's decisions will add significant charges to my bill. Unfortunately, the lack of communication overshadowed what could have been a pretty pleasant experience.

Ok so booked my appointment, called and tried to get Cyndi because I'm always with her, love her. Couldn't get her which I understood so I kept my booked appointment. Showed pics of what I wanted. She began cutting away. At one point she asked for help and I am grateful for that. She said she had never done a pixie before. Sweetest girl ever so I don't want to bag on her, but if she had never done a pixie they should have put me with another stylist as they knew I wanted a pixie. Cyndi gave her some pointers but she was with another client at this time. Cyndi came back a little later on and I think realized how worried I was so she immediately took me to her chair. She had a client waiting but finished my hair out of the kindness of her heart. I could never do hair, which is why I go get it done, so that's why I don't want to be rough with my words but if Cyndi hadn't of stepped in I was on the verge of a panic attack. Every. Single. Time. I am there the manager is rushing Cyndi. She came by and was reminding Cyndi of the time and her next client, instead of thanking Cyndi for finishing my hair. I pay a lot for those services when I go and I don't expect someone to be rushing my service every time. I got to the register and was asked how everything went. I stated not good. The girl at the counter walked away and came back explaining she could take 15% off my service. I said I don't think I should be paying for the service but that I would gladly tip Cyndi for fixing my hair. She said she would talk with her manager and give me a call. Needless to say I did not have to pay for the service but I think we can all agree that should have been a given. Get rid of your manager and give Cyndi and award and a raise and make sure you are aware of what your clients needs are and that whomever they have been assigned to can provide that service adequately. Or change your prices to match.
