UNPROFESSIONAL. UNRESPONSIVE. UNRELIABLE. STAY AWAY! Nadezhda/Nadya promised to help me renew my Russian passport. But she delivered very little & very late! We spoke in February. She instructed me how to make my own appointment at the Russian Consulate in Washington D.C. (sending me a proper link). The earliest one I could get was for Friday, May 30, 2025. So far, so good. But things then quickly went downhill. Two weeks before the appointment, I started contacting her (many times) about the documents & instructions I would need. No answers. No documents. No information. No instructions. Only a quick text saying there is still time. Seriously?! Yes, she did finally respond (via voice TEXT after 5 p.m. the EVENING BEFORE my morning departure from Las Vegas to D.C.), but only after a mutual acquaintance posted information about this outrageous situation in an online WhatsApp chat group to prod her to take action. Plus, Nadya informed me at that point for the first time (again, by voice text only) that I would need to bring a $90 money order with me to the appointment to pay the fee, plus a prepaid USPS mail envelope with a special Postage Stamp. Seriously?!? The EVENING BEFORE A.M. departure for Washington?! Didn't she know these basic facts from the beginning? Of course, she did! Why wait until I was about to travel West-to-East Coast and when I would need to find places to buy these things in Washington when I already was stressed out from waiting in the dark until the last minute for the documents? And of course, after unanswered calls/texts to Nadezhda for several days I came to her office at 2 pm May 28th, the day before departure to Washington, but all doors were locked & nobody was there (see pics). ONLY the next MORNING (an hour before leaving home to LAS airport) she sent me the two simple documents I needed to submit to the Consulate. Again, seriously?!? Over two months to fill out two very simple forms (3 simple pages total)?!? And she even made simple mistakes like listing my DOB (date of birth) as the date my prior passport was issued. Very amateurish. And for this grief she charged $250 (paid to her via Zelle on February 26, 2025). Yes, she did eventually correct the mistakes in the forms, but not until I was already on my way to Washington. Again, seriously? And btw, I had to go to 2 different USPS offices in Washington to find this special Postage STAMP for a prepaid envelope as the first Post Office didn't have it! What a stress for me right before my Consulate appointment in a city I don't really know! And it all could have been avoided if Nadezhda simply had informed me in advance about the need for the $90 Money Order & prepaid envelope with a special Stamp (cost only $10.10 ... see pics); I easily could have bought them at my convenience in Las Vegas! If you need to renew a passport, do it yourself. It's actually easy. Or find someone else to help. Nadezhda is unprofessional, unresponsive & unreliable. The stress & aggravation of dealing with her are not worth it. STAY AWAY! read more
